Typepad HTML Email Hi CathyYes, that is my quilt. Kept me busy the whole summer! I bought a cheap, but very nice summer quilt here in Baotou for the backing. Nearly finished! Yeah! Will take it home on Wednesday when we fly back to SA.We can see three groups exercising every night from our kitchen window. The music they use is atrocious especially the mix of the three! The newest group looks like best one to join: Aerobics for senior citizens. Admirable, especially during the feezing winter months.Glad you noticed the crooked pictures! Thats the Mao Restaurant, although the place changed ownership a couple of times and most Mao décor had been removed a long time ago. It is just across the road from us and the management treats us foreigners like royalty. Friday evening was quite a surprise. The first time we met the lady with the pink top. She works for Research and Development, but is Mongolian , and all she wants is to sing! So we all got a chance to sing for our supper. It was such fun (umm, way too much???)Ah, and what is your perception of Moon Cakes this year? Here in Baotou I saw lots of fancy packaged moon cakes. I love the ones in tins, but am concerned about the wastage of cardboard and paper that goes into all the packaging. I also didnt see many people that are willing to pay 30 to 50 RMB for a small moon cake.A happy Mid Autumn Festival to you and Donald xxxx
