Answering the question of the day: My answer is definitely yes, provided that the extra footage is worthwhile and the tickets are the same price or less. I really can't wait to see what else is different in the re... Continue reading

Happy Earth Day and Avatar day everyone! Did anyone else manage to get the Blu-Ray and DVD combo? A lot of stores have ordered extra copies, so get one while you still have the chance! Good luck! Continue reading

Hey, everyone! I'm having a release party / viewing of Avatar on Wednesday at midnight after I, hopefully, get the movie. Any clever ideas to make a memory? Continue reading

I did the same. I paid extra for the movie, and besides, I can give the glasses as toys to my younger siblings. As the above article says, outside the movie theater, they don't really serve too much of a purpose, so why not keep them and use them for something else? Dropping them into those bins saves the movie theaters some money, because they wash and sterilize them, then give them to someone else who decides to see the movie.
I was hoping that HDDVD was going to win the Blu Ray vs HDDVD war, but it didn't, and I managed to trade it in a for a Blu Ray player before prices for it plummeted. Blu Ray is pretty advanced and the discs are really cool to hold, but for a movie like Avatar, I was just going to buy both so I don't later regret not being able to watch it on my laptop or in my home theater. I saved up, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

I still check the site everyday, even though me starting new posts has become a bit of a rarity. When Avatar is released on April 22, I bet a lot of activity will come back to this site. I'll be most active around then as well. Feel free to send any messages, though. We should all be nice here.
Quick question to anyone out there. I thought about preordering the Avatar Bluray from Amazon, but decided that I would have a better chance getting the movie from the Walmart or Best Buy which are in walking distance of where... Continue reading

Answering the question of the day, when I first saw Avatar, I was in the Movie Tavern in Fort Worth. A group of my friends invited me to go see it. It was awesome! What's cool is that the Avatar... Continue reading

I haven't been responding to any posts in a while, but I've still been keeping up with the day to day discussions. Answering today's question, I think that Quaritch is much more evil because of his drive. Even though Parker... Continue reading

I found mine for a good price on If you're looking to buy it from a bookstore, try looking for it at stores like Barnes and Noble and Borders. If you get lucky, you might even find a few copies of it at Walmart. So far, though, buying it online is probably the smartest idea. . .
Has anyone seen that really low budget animated movie the Battle for Terra? It came out a while ago, but it has a few things in common with Avatar. The ending for the movie was actually pretty good where the... Continue reading

I hope James Cameron at least comes out with cover art for the book soon. That way, at least I can preorder the book. This is one book I'm not missing!

Very well said. Most all of those points make sense, but the only problem is that most of Pandora's wildlife and vegetation cause severe allergic reactions to humans. Getting some of Pandora's water resources require filtration, and even breathing Pandora's atmosphere is a problem. Human habitation of Pandora, in keeping with the natives, would require humans to only be able to live in a small area of the planet, and even then, with limited resources. Establishing a dome like atmosphere, though, may create a more permanent solution. Still, living together with the Na'vi is more of a longshot in regards to human goals.
@ brian I've only seen Avatar 8 times. And I thought I was obsessed. Hahahha, no worries. I really think it's awesome when a movie inspires so many people to make repeat viewings. James Cameron really has his movie formula... Continue reading

Answering today's question, the hardest decision I think Jake had to make in the film was the choice regarding sending his work and reports to Quaritch. It becomes a problem later in the film as Jake realizes the extent of... Continue reading

I bought that book the Avatar Survival Guide. In it, it says that for a Na'vi, eating human food could make them very sick. The same goes for humans eating Pandoran foodstuffs. Eating Pandora's food to humans causes extreme allergic reactions and sometimes can cause convulsions. However, even if this weren't the case, I doubt a Na'vi would eat anything not grown in the forests of Pandora.
