BTW: GM'ing went great! I was really excited, though I think there are some growing pains for me and my fellow cohorts as far as illustration goes but given that I managed to get everyone going, I say it was an overall good first time! Continue reading

Tim Burton's Ball is February 5th, in San Francisco! Abney Park (One of my very favorite bands) is playing and I am making it my mission to be there! Will you?! As an aside, I'm also going to be planning my Steamy Burton-esque costume for the event. It may end up being a singular tribute to Danny Elfman, the genius behind Oingo Boingo, the singing voice of Jack Skellington and almost the most lucrative composer for Tim Burton's filmography. Don't get me wrong, I grew up with Tim Burton as my storyteller and sole entertainer as a child but I'm... Continue reading

What is the most exciting thing that you did last year? The most exciting thing....I got to go to all the awesome renaissance faires in my area plus the awesome opportunity to act in one! I've also written a screenplay, joined a pretty good charity group and adopted a dog. I would say those also rank up there for me too. Continue reading

It's Thursday, I'm amazed at how quickly the week has gone by despite how slowly it has been crawling! This weekend is my first Attempt at GM'ing and I'm nervous as all hell! Anyone out there have any suggestions? Continue reading

What will you do different in 2010? Learn when to say when. I fill my schedule up so much these days and primarily it's because I don't know how to say know to some things! To be fair I'm all about trying new events, experiencing things and having fun but that's taking a toll on me. Continue reading

How sweet! I admire her for wanting to help animals and what a wonderful person you are to promote that ambition!

What do you want to do before you die? Sponsored by MTV’s "The Buried Life". Premieres January 18 at 10PM PT/ET. I would like to publish some of my stories. I've been writing since I was 12 and have never quite taken the plunge in the matter of getting my work published. I typically just write for myself and have enjoyed it but figure maybe some other people could enjoy it too. Continue reading

What are your favorite memories of 2009? - My favorite would have to be Henry's return. Shortly after the loss of Chez Duncan's first cat Jacob, who for all intents and purposes was treated as a surrogate child, Henry (Our orange and white tabby) ran off out of a faulty kennel on his way to get fixed. He was two blocks from home in a residential area which meant he could have run off anywhere. I was devestated, hysterical and completely at a loss for what to do with myself. I searched, printed fliers, posted ads on craigslist. We hoped... Continue reading

It was a blissfully uneventful day. I got some writing done, worked on my napping skills and enjoyed spending time with my two favorite men...Ben and Jerry. Continue reading

Last night I had the pleasure of seeing Sherlock Holmes. I have to say that I was thoroughly amused and entertained by Robert Downey Jr.'s rendition. He threw out the stuffy, overintelligent stereotype and refreshed the iconic detective with a renegade genius more akin to a hybrid between Gregory House MD and Goram of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. (Both of which have a soft spot in my heart.) Jude Law also did an outstanding performance as Watson, taking a step away from the doormat I often perceived him to be and made him more of an equal to Holmes... Continue reading

I find it interesting that the most calls received at my job were not on the day after Thanksgiving or even New Years Eve (Today it was desolate, much reading ensued)....It was infact, Christmas Eve. It amazes me the priorities of some people during the holiday season. Continue reading

What is your favorite food? My favorite food? Holy crap that's hard, I love food. (If you could see me in person you could see what I mean.) No really, Favorite food would have to be what my husband and I affectionately call "Chicken 'n' Pasta." It is a carboholic's dream. Fettucini pasta, alfredo sauce (Sadly canned but I'm gonna learn to make my own some day) Add to that chicken breasts cooked with garlic and assortment of other herbs (of the Italian variety), cubed and thrown into the sauce, if we have it, brocoli and (my personal favorite) diced...
