On a journey trying to live as a Jesus-follower in a post-Christian culture
Interests: I love... God, my wife (Liz), music (fairly eclectic taste) - listening, playing & writing, cats (we have 2 - called Kali & Merlot), Manchester Utd (OK - but I have supported them for over 20 years), gadgets (especially ones that take the hard work out of things), wine (it's so worth going to France to buy), whisky (single malts only please!), food (preferably lots of), dark chocolate, surfing, good films, innovative people, Greece, my ps2 (gutted that ps3 is delayed!), American football, my fab mp3 player... could go on

I didn't know you could the sticker thing! Yes - I did take it apart - and then it was (a) obvious that's what I'd done, and (b) it never quite worked as well again!

Thanks to Laura for the review - how true... (though I am still addicted!) And JB... you're very wise!... Completely agree about the commercialism which perhaps drives the storylines too much... I wasn't really saying I wanted all the answers though - rather, I fear that it is getting TOO complex, that the number of questions is expanding exponentially... And though we don't need everything neat & tidy, we do need some order in the chaos otherwise we end up where Hurley was (remember?!)...

Hi Mark - yes I remember you... I like the plan, but be very wary of mothers plotting... And the caravan would have to be comfortable - warm, big, comfy sofa/bed, tv, ps2, built in coffee machine...!! ;) More like a mobile home really!! Have read your blog too - looks cool :) Keep in touch

Not as yet... As you might have gathered things are a bit weird, and it's really been a rollercoaster... But God is still God... Hope you're well mate, and good to see what's happening with Dream

Look, Mr. Ipod - let's not get into that argument again!... At least this device is a universal one, not just for sad globalised types who can't be original and have to have an ipod... OK, let's get into that argument again!

Good one Chris! Not sure that counts though... flag on pushchair is OK... flag/towel on house is somewhat dodgy... flag on car is quite chav-ish, painting your house is just, well...

I think that might keep you cool, but it would be an interesting fashion statement...

Yep I think it was Betjeman... It was Einstein who said that the solution to a problem will mean doing something very different to what caused the problem in the first place (or something like that)... I completely agree that the church has always needed pioneers, and institutions do lag behind - I really hope emerging church doesn't become institutionalised... I do think though that the cultural situation we're in is a radically new one... Ryan Bolger highlighted this on the Blah tour... that the 1990's saw for the first time in around 1500 years (a) the number of Christians in the 'non-western world' outnumbering those in the 'west'... and (b) the number of missionaries sent from the 'non-western world' outnumbers those sent from the 'west'... a seismic cultural shift... and it's into this situation that pioneer/emerging church can add something to the conversation...
Oh come on just admit it, it's your car isn't it?!!
