For me once the 2011 Green Bay Packers won, we all won. The last time we were in the Super Bowl was 15 years ago when I played (1996-97). The Lombardi trophy has come home and it is just a great feeling. It wasn't an easy road, but The Packers went back and earned the right to be called Super Bowl Champions again.

For the Packers to take the road that they had to take and now, to be in the big game is something that is definitely over the top. That is why in the previous blogs I referred to Green Bay as Title Town USA. I always tell people not to forget whose name is on the trophy. That trophy is coming home soon.

As a former player, there is a little bit of jealousy that you personally are not able to play in the game. I played in two Super Bowls winning one and be on the losing end of the other. So there is a little bit of jealousy because you miss playing the game and being out there competing. We soon get past all of that and prepare for the fun that is about to occur. You can have different types of parties you can have one with your family and one with your friends or you can combine them both. The main thing for me is that I like to eat. So when the grease is frying, I am popping chicken wings, fries in it. I am not a big pizza eating man, I am more of a carnivore, I like eating meat. I live in Detroit where it is really cold outside but we still fire up the grill at times too. We get everything all set and eat. We take joy in watching the game, the game is more important than anything on that day. The kids and the Women watch the game for the commercials. We like watching the action of the game and can’t wait until it comes back on. So even if they are football fans or not everyone is watching the game on that day. Family and friends come together sitting around watching the game that we all love having a good time. Super Bowl Sunday is a big day at my house.
