What's France's position these days in Africa or why is France invading Africa? I think France is the root cause of most of African countries to stay backward or inferior. France is a super power albeit still dependent and will need allies to support her position as a world power.Africa is at France's backyard hence giving her that position to "invade" Africa. Africa has got raw material France badly needs for her industrial development. But the Chinese are gradually replacing France in Africa. With a close look, the Chinese are giving with no string attached unlike the French who give with one hand and with the other trying to wipe out a nation by supporting and keeping dictators in power. For Africa to forge ahead, she needs youths who think positively of their continent (Africa).Youths should try to shift the French power in Africa by being creative and not by war. Here I mean, Africans should try to build their own continent and not wait for others to dictate what is good for them( Africans). If Africans think positive of one another and love themselves, then there shall be no wars, which means great investments.Africans wakeup and fight for your rights.
What's France position in Africa in the 21st century or let me put it this way; why is France invading Africa? We turn to look for solutions to Africa's biggest problem without looking at it's root cause.France is a super power albeit still dependent and will need allies to support her position as a world power.Africa is at her backyard hence giving her that position to "invade" Africa. Mr. Mbonifor, I support your canditure but will plead with you to sort out you differences before it's too late. You are not only running for the Bafut people but for Tubah as well, so you have to bear that in mind. Please stop throwing words at Ni John Fru Ndi , for he's someone well respected in the North West. You fully know, you can't totally bury the SDF in Bafut. You have to work very hard to win the mind of the common man by matching words with actions. Mr. Bangsi Victor, is one of the very few straight guys in the CPDM in Bafut. Be him a hand-picked or not, I think most members and the youths especially should give him the chance to lead the party in Bafut sub section for now.God bless you guys but always stand on the truth for it what a North West man and woman wants.
Is this a true story or a fiction? I can't still believe my eyes. Someone tell me, tell me if this is true, then a big blow to the Anglophone community. May their souls rest in perfect peace where we shall meet to part no more. This world is a stage and we all have our turns. Let's ask ourselves what people will say of us when it's time to leave the stage.May our Almighty God Grant these great souls eternal rest.
Money ill gotten serves no purpose, glance around and you will share this view with me. Why do people only speak of good deeds when someone dies? Didn't he have a short coming or a flaw as any other humanbeing will do? One of the things they didn't mention and I will like to mention here is the fact that, he's one of those who misguided the headstate with the wrong decisions to destroy or withdraw all the money that had something to do with the Late head of state Ahijou. He's one of those who quickly acknowledged that Ahijou should be buried abroad. These alone serve as examples that, what goes round comes round. Let's watch the drama as it unfolds. No one will last on earth forever. "Unto to dust we came and unto dust we shall return". May his soul rest peacefully with his riches until we meet him where we shall all be equals. God bless us all.
Wow too painful that our brothers are armed against their blood brothers. Yes, history shows that the Bawock people were slaves and with civilizatin things changed and the Bawock people were allocated that piece of land to live on. I was born in Bali, grew up in Bali and I know my brothers that well. Don't mess around when it comes to land with a Baliman. I think our Bawock brothers should have known this. I hope our wisdom fons will resolve this land problem and let it be buried forever. To make it clear, I'm not a Bali breed. Please let's not stand up against our armless brothers but let stand against any form of corruption in Cameroon. I know the Fon of Bali as one of those great minds in the Northwest and hope he can use his Solomon's wisdom to bring peace to that part of the globe.
Kiki, great point there. The SDF should have been tackling better issues and not Chinese influx into the country. I know you are somewhere in Hong Kong and must have visited the mainland of China or meet some of these Chinese friends. Are they worth sending off our land? What is the SDF doing as a political party to invite investors in the province where it's been scoring 99% in almost all the elections? Who's building is hosting the PMUC in Bamenda? Is that something Fru Ndi should give his people? I admire the President of The People Republic of China. A president who visits poor farmers in the countrysides and share in picking apples and oranges from the trees. A president who joins the chorus, sings with joy and conductors in a primary school. A president who visits Cameroon and takes time off to encourage his country men constructing a Sport Complex in Yaounde. A president who visits Cameroon and goes to visit a hospital his country has offered to Cameroonians. There he encourages his country men and women working in the hospital. A president who claps after his speech. A president who answers questions from his unversity students. Can it ever happen in our country? Let's give a plus where it's needed. Let's not just talk because we are being fooled by some of the failed politicians. Che Sunday, your write up X-rayed everything. I need not repeat what you pointed out. If the SDF wants Bamenda to be freed of foreigners, then let it send off the Igbos. God Bless your day
sorry for the mistakes. Was too fast and didn't go over it. It's write up site and giraffes. Please I'm still working in China, if you wanna know much more about the Chinese; you put your question on this forum and a hand full of good natured Cameroonians will address it. Hi to my Samchinaboy. Hope to catch you soon on our Yahoo scrabbling table.
My country men and women. I'm so abashed with some of the comments we put on this witesite. Rest assured that not only Cameroonians do visit this website. Did I read somewhere that Chinese are being jeered in Cameroon and the North west province in Particulars? How many Cameroonians from the North West province are teaching and living in unpaid flats in China? Flats offered by the schools with every single equipment these teachers can't affort in their day to day lives. To tell you the truth, very few French speaking Camerioonians do teach English in China. Why can't we ask our Chinese friends what they've done to achieve an "economic miracle" in their country? Why can't we put pressure on the government to invite Chinese with their technological know how? How many of us can affort for an internet service in our homes in Cameroon? Let's ask our Chinese friends to provide us with this knowledge. I saw and used an internet projector for the first time in my life in a middle school in China. Something that is a nightmare to most universities in our country. Let our failed politicians don't drive us to hating our Chinese friends for no good reason. How's the youth unemployment in Cameroon connected with Chinese influx. Before they arrived, were the youths being employed? I won the Best Teacher's Award with my Senior Middle School in the first semester of 2005, what if I were jeered for being a Cameroonian? I was so amazed when I visited a zoo in Nanning provice of China on the 18th this month and saw a hippo that was bought from Chad and seals from South Africa. Countless numbers of tourist visit this zoo to see these animals. What's the SDF doing to promot the Tourism sector in Cameroon? What's the Government doing with our great Menchum fall? What's the Government doing with the hippos and the girrafes in North? What are we doing with the beautiful Mount Fako, What are we doing to promot our image abroad? What are we doing to promot our football culture abroad. I'm baffled at times when guys can't stand up freely in China to say they are Cameroonians. They hide behind fake nationalities like Americans, British ......... Let's stop jeering our friends off the land. Let's take a stock and see where we are lacking and ask our Chinese friends to share their experience with us. Chinese ain't bad people as some of us paint them to be. Chinese are generous people and some of our brothers are using this opportunity to dupe them out. What if Cameroonians in America or Germany were being jeered for cleaning hotels, streets, pups. ........? Let's do unto others what we expect done on us. God bless your day.
Fellow Brethren(Youths). This speech wasn't meant for us. Vitualise it as a poet and you will spot out something special. The President was addressing his ministers and party members “new form of patriotism”. He knows fully well that his party members and ministers ain't patriotic enough. As in my write up above, we shoudn't fold our arms to wait for a govenment that has no head way. Let's create the enabling enviroment by investing back home. Let's immitate the Chinese who mostly buy from their brothers be it at home or abroad. Making sure that we are brain gaining and not brain draining. can someone tell me when Namibia gained its independence? Has someone visited or viewed Namibia on any TV channel of recent? Cameroonians have a long way to go but we must start with a step, then we will finish the miles ahead of us. Let's use this forum to share ideas on how to change our country for the better rather than analysing speeches that won't help us. What if you spotlighted your Village, town, city and made a gesture to a primary school with a computer or two? What if you dug up a well in a village that needs water? What if you decided to plant trees and flowers to make your city beautiful? What if you offered a book to a library in your village town or city ? I'm not preaching tribalism but start it on your backyard and before you open your eyes everyboy will be copying from you. That's just what the Chinese are doing. They want to look like Americans and even go beyond that. That's why if you don't have the American accented English, you can't teach in China be you a PHD holder in English. TO HE OR SHE WHO LOVES CAMEROON. Hail, Cameroon! happy land! Hail, ye heroes! heaven-born band! Who fought and bled in Freedom's cause, Who fought and bled in Freedom's cause, And when the storm of war was gone, Enjoyed the peace your valor won. Let independence be our boast, Ever mindful what it cost; Ever grateful for the prize, Let its altar reach the skies! Hail, Cameroon. O limed soul, that, struggling to be free, Art more engag'd! Help, angels! Make assay! Bow, stubborn knees; and, heart with strings of steel, Be soft as sinews of the new-born babe! Oh, when a mother meets on high The babe she lost in infancy, Hath she not then for pains and fears, The day of woe, the watchful night, For all her sorrow, all her tears, An over-payment of delight? Cameroon is blessed but full of those who can't manage things. Look at China's economy. When one is on a bus in China, nobody is running behind you to see how much you gotta pay but just honesty ................... Why can't we Cameroonian do same? I'm crying for my beloveth country. I think you shall join to reflect on this. Why are we suffering in others country? Why do we leave our country to live as beggars in a foreign land? I have a dream and hope you do. That our generation will change Cameroon. When the wind for change will start blowing, no man except God will stop it. I have a dream for my country and hope you do same. Oh, when a mother meets on high The babe she lost in infancy, Hath she not then for pains and fears, The day of woe, the watchful night, For all her sorrow, all her tears, An over-payment of delight? The Curse of our mismanagement. When cameroonians will know........."He that is down needs fear nor fall........."They will make a step for freedom. God bless your day.
I will like to take us back to the recent visit of President Hu and wife( China's president) to Cameroon. I applaud the kind natured Chinese but hope our leaders will also learn to forge our country ahead. With the vast nature of unemployment in our country, youths don't longer see it necessary to stay in Cameroon. Let's not use this forum to divide or preach what won't help us. Let's retrospect ourselves and see where we are lacking to table our complains to the authority as the headstate has rightfully said, hoping that they take immediate actions. One great ruler once said "....ask what you've done for your country and not what your country has done for you". Let the brothers who are making it abroad, don't stay back to wait on a Government that will never make a step. If all those who were sent abroad by some means of the tax payer's money; were so kind enough to enable the private sector gain grounds in Cameroon, Cameroonians won't ever dream of the public sectors or going for greener pastures if ever they've been green. Let's learn from the hard working Chinese. Each time I watch a documentary on Namibia on CCTV9 the only English TV Channel in China, I'm really ashamed calling myself a Cameroonian. When did Namibia gain its independence? Namibia's economy is blooming like the morning rose. There's something, I would like to mention here, Cameroonians in China are looked upon as conmen just everywhere. Immediately the Chinese immigration police picks up a passport with Cameroon written on it, it changes hands as though all Cameroonians were thieves. It's due to the spirit we've grown in, that gets our brothers wanting to be billionaires over night. A city of Guangxi province in China, is a hell to most Cameroonians. The police in this city does't want to see or hear of Cameroon due to some bad mannered brothers. They don't only dupe chinese but also dupe their own brothers back home that there are job opportunities in China. This deciet ends most of our brothers on the streets of major cities in China. Not that Cameroonians don't teach in China but one should be very clear and sure that a school has hired him or her before leaving Cameroon.
