Travelled across Georgia(Europe) earlier this year as a result of reading Tony Anderson's: Bread and Ashes.I did take a softer route than he recommends and if anyone is bitten by the same bug I'd recommend The Cultural Experience as the driving is very scary. Tony walks it, with the odd bus or taxi. November: Driving to the Hortillages of Amiens and on to Albert, with Barrie Pitt: 1918 The Last Act under my arm.(Or possibly rereading it in the lorry park outside Dover, who knows?)

There was a second hand clothes shop @ the end of the Fulham Road owned by Gabrielle Crawford (exspouse of Michael).Opened 1970 and stocked with SOME very interesting fashions of the time ( and previous decades).A great place to be a Saturday Girl and an intensive education in design , textiles... and money.
