The Lemon Drop is a favorite in our household as well, and while I agree with you on the choice of vodka, I respectfully disagree on the Lemonade choice. Have you tried Simply Lemonade? It's the best thing I've ever tasted next to homemade. It's not from concentrate and has no artificial sweeteners. I really like that it has the right amount of sweetness balanced with tartness, without tasting super-saccharin. I think it beats the pants off of Newman's. Give it a try next time - I think you'll be pleased. Oh, and I have no affiliation with the company Simply Lemonade, I'm just a huge fan of their juices. :)

OMG... you nailed it with this post. This was me in high school... then I hit college became more of an "art-girl" and eventually morphed into one of the "normals". I have to laugh because though I wasn't part of the hearse club (just friends with them) back then, I somehow (unintentionally) ended up as suit-wearing funeral director now... how funny life is.

Amanda, I love your idea for a Big Lebowski party with the Wii bowling and White Russians. The Coen brothers have made some of our favorite movies. For party ideas, what about encouraging everyone to wear bathrobes and boxers? Or better yet, costumes themed around the movie? You could go crazy - come as a nihilist, Jesus, or even dressing up as a disembodied bloody toe. :) The Fox Theater in Boulder, CO screens The Big Lebowski nearly every month and part of the tradition is going to the show in your bathrobe. Have fun with your party - I hope you do go through with it and post details here!

HAHA - we are lame and didn't even try to stay up past 9:30. Instead we got a wonderful night's sleep, and I woke up to enjoy the first day of the year instead of feeling miserable and tired. Hooray for the bah-humbug spirit towards New Years Eve! :)
