Oh, how fun. This is my last issue of my two year subscription, and I enjoy them so much. The maypole article made me weep...it was so touching.

Thank you for this. I am walking the line as well with my homeschooled children--dragging them along to Indivisible Meetings and meetings at our church for undocumented immigrants and their legal rights (all in Spanish, which we don't speak). My oldest is ten and a voracious reader...and is quite concerned. I don't want my kids to bear too much, but I can't sit this one out. I hope they remember that we didn't just stand by, but I do believe in the innocence of childhood. I am very, very much appreciating hearing about how you are navigating these new times as a creative person trying to live a simple life. I have long been inspired by your blog and am so grateful that you are not just showing the pretty pictures but sharing this story.

I religiously read your blog here in Western North Carolina, and really enjoy it, but rarely comment. I am now because I really feel what you are saying about the many changes facing us, and how distressing some of it is but also so exciting to be called to step up and be involved more, because we have to be. Thank you for sharing bits of your thoughtful life and self here.

The lunches. It's terrible. I sometimes think that is why I homeschool--so I don't have to pack lunches every morning.

Oh, I never comment but read your blog pretty religiously. My oldest is nearly ten, and I am enjoying her now so much. She and Adelaide would get on famously, I expect. Anyway, I love seeing your pictures of my sweet little town--and its wonderful spot, favorites of ours. Have fun.

I have a girl and two little boys too. It has taken me a long time to understand that little boys just play differently. I love it.

Fun! The last time I was in the library, there was a note attached to my card--could you please ask Grace to not return the library books so dirty. Awesome. So, yes, we travel with library books...

Hi. I do love to read your blog--I am a homeschooling mother in the Western North Carolina Mountains--my children are of ages with yours, and I get inspired from your blog. How totally horrifying to discover that pictures of your sweet children were used so nefariously. Selfishly, I hope you keep blogging, but I understand either way. I did want to mention that I haven't had trouble viewing your old posts, so I don't know if the private setting is working. Anyway, thank you for posting. I did keep a blog for a while, but I couldn't manage to keep it up. I am impressed with all you do.
