This is not the first time, that I am in the middle of a piece concerning the post. I remember lst year I picked up a little dieing girl by the road side and took her to the hospital. Contacted her family and even aided out with her hospital bills. The post posted that story and it was lacking of proper investigation. (4 February 2007 edition) I remember several commentors recommended that the Post contact me to get a good version of the story. I see nothing different with what was just published. Never bothering to do proper investigation. That you are suspect does not make you guilty. Hrolds account to the Police ws offcourse not honest. True that I might not have revealed my identity to him, but we never spoke on phone, and whatever money he gave me was for services rendered. There was never an issue of Pastor and stuff. I contacted him in the first place because he said he was developing a software. He wanted a Christian Webdesigner to partner with. Offcourse if he had known I was a black guy, he would never have been interested. He was building a software which had been a failure, and I did give him valuable contributions to putting it back on track. He had read about the Pygmies and was interested visiting. He was interested in building a dating website and whatever amout he send me was in appreciation to my contribution to his software and also as advance payment for me to build him a website. He was so thrilled by my contribution to his software that he proposed me immigrating to Canada. Offcourse I couldnot since I was concealing my identity. That is how our disagreements began. I am not bailing out the case from the courts. I have asked him to get an attorney to represent him. I have a printout of our emails, and it was with the help of them that I got released. I will be happy to share the court verdict on this forum.I am also prepared to bear responsibilty for wherever I went wrong. Sorry my friend, apart from the failing Cyber Cafe, I have a flourishing Electro Menagere business in Douala that has been going on for years. I am also a Certified Web Designer. Obi
Great Story.. THE POST..Its no news that The Post is quick to stories like this, so they can caption and sell. Contrary to Mr Bongo who thinks Ayuk should be rotting in jail, I am right here responding to this piece. Infact I have a cold bottle of Cocacola, a grey suit and a lemon shirt. Its unfortunate that every scene that has to do with a white man and a black man, in which dollars were exchanged is quickly called a scam. But its even unfortunate that underqualified Papers like the Post are quick to print stories like these without proper investigations. I was picked up by the Judicial Police on Saturday the 22nd by the said Assistant Police officer. Him with two other Colleagues did all the could to squeeze out money from me that morning. They even picked up my junior brother who later came with my Car. Even before we arrived at the Police Station, I was asked to give 150.000frs before they could let go my junior brother. I was equally asked to give 300.000 frs to let my car go. I had to carry them to EcoBank to give them 65.000frs so they could let go my junior brother while I negotiate with them. The Police invesigator had to keep my car in his house, demanding my junior brother pay 300.000frs before picking it up. I told him firmly I was in no position to negotiate as I had a straight dealing with Ewert with no wrong doing. He even drafted my own statements for me and asked me to sign with threats of using the "balansoir". He told me since I was not willing to coperate( bribing) he prefered collecting the bonus that had been promised to him by Ewert, while doing everything in his power to nail me down. Three days after holding me down, my lawyer was able to get a release warrant for me, with help from emails that I had shared with Ewert. But the Judicial Police Boss turned it down. Demanding my lawyer to ask me to give the 4million francs to him, so he could forward to the Canadian..hahahahah WHY WAS THIS STORY PUBLISHED IN THE POST? I know of several Cameroonians who have killed thier neighbours, others who have conned several directors of hundred of millions. Yet they still parade the streets of Cameroon as free men. Yet thier names where never mentioned on any Paper. My story was quick to sell to the Post with my Picture was a big caption because 1.When the Provincial Boss incharge of Police Quality Control, was informed by my brothers about my situation. He was quick in calling my investigator to order. Demanding him to immidiately take my car to the Police station and not look for ways to steal it. He even opened a dossier to persecute my investigator. He personally visited me in the cell, and called on me not to be intimidated by anyone. Asking me not to drop a dime to anybody and even making mockery of the commsioners idea of handing the money to him so he could forward to Canada.. That same day when my investigator was quarelled, he got bitter with me. He even placed me on the balansoir for 15minutes. That was when he took a picture of me claiming he wanted to fax it to the Embassy. This was his big game.. Selling the story to the Post in retalliation for my calling to notice the Divisionaires attention on his malconduct. But shockingly, I had to give him 280.000frs on Thursday, just so I could write my own Statement that needed forwarding to the State Councel for my release. How deplorable!!! So if the Post were into qulity investigations, they would have visited me in the cell to get appriopriate information on what was happening. There is somuch light to shed on this, but because I am taking legal actions, I plan to follow the advice of my lawyer and be still. OBI ROLAND AYUK

Emah The majority of South African people think otherwise. Zuma who is known as the grassroot guy is strongly looked upon by the youths as the man who will give redemption to the high levels of unemployment hitting the common South African.
I cnnot help laughing at the prices specified.. Wanted a room for my kid sister and was asked to pay 12months advance, with the monthly rate beeing 30.000frs.
I know hundred of persons who have made it to Ecole Normalle without paying a dime. Why should her name be publihed as ucesful, when others spend several weeks in Holiday clases to catch up with the syllabus. Its high time we condemn both those are collect and pay he bribe. However I find the article poorly wriiten. First the lecturer gave up the Ghost, resurected and returned home. How possible is that!!! Mr Peter try to get your details in order. From the way you write I wonder if the girl was actually asking for her money or did actually threatened the lecturer
Thank You UnitedStatesofAFrica!! Atlast a laudable write on this Southern Cameroon Madness. I am surprised some big backers have not yet chipped in thier always sickening impression. Its either they are accepting defeat, or gradually accepting reality. Its so funny how a bunch of self centered persons do come out with ideas that their own wives donot even buy...lol Just like I have said and always say, that dream is nothing different than Mr Legimah Doh thinking he could be King of Britain someday...LOL MR Doh, true leaders stay in thier countries and give the lead, they donot go as far as the US. Where you exiled?...lol Foolish thing dem!!!!

Fongang, I definitely accept with you. No pretence about the fact that Anglophone in the Cameroon context refers to those originating from the North West and South West Provinces. Offcourse we definitely cannot deny that we Anglophones have often been pushed to the wall, but the whole idea of Independence for anglophones is crazy and a dream that I can bet my fingers for. Its funny how some few persons have carried the idea to thier heads and are running crazy with it. The Truth is the Southern Cameroon idealogy rest only with less than 2percent of the anglophone population. I remember when Forjindam was picked up for corruption, the Post called him a heroe who picked the insituition from ruins and was quick to stand by his side. Almost declaring him innocent.. I guess its high time we come together with better ideas and build a better Cameroon.
I am sick and tired of the comments here..This Southern Cameroon thing seems to be getting some people mad and unreasonable. Needless to say thats a dream that will never be realised. Think constructively and let us buiild a better Cameroon.
I hope the details of that story are true. The Post has been known for not always following up a story too well, in a haste to put things on paper. I never heard of our Police crossing borders to hunt 860.000frs.
Red Flag, I must say that was a silly comment. I think this idea of Southern Cameroon has gotten somuch into our heads that we no longer want to face the truth. I donot think the article above makes mention of the thieves beeing Francophones. I know alot of notorious thieves and gunmen in the towns you just mentioned who are anglophones. Terrorising the community and raping women. A few years ago in Buea, fifteen year old boys of "SOUTHERN CAMEROON HERITAGE" were caught raping and terrorising the University students with poisoned knives.A friend lost a junior sister because of those acts. So I totally disagree with your comment of French invading southern cameroon towns to rape and steal. If that is the kind of mentality you want to use to build Southern Cameroon, I will rather remain in The Republic of Cameroon.
Eyallow, trying to hang yourself as a kid!!lol Are you from Bafut...LOL
Eyallow, I must say that was a well crafted piece of article you wrote. I wish we had more people like you on this forum. Having lost several relatives to AIDS and presently having an Auntie afflicted by it at the moment, gets anoying when people like "Honourable Chief Ngwana" have ideas of thier own published on a National Journal like the Post. Unfortunately he doesnot see it fit to bounce back to the bottom of his article and see what comments have been posted. Is this not ridiculous "One of my lawyers, a woman told me of a pathetic incidence, that when her colleague was dying of AIDS she asked her to take care of her little son. The dying woman said that what pained her most was the fact that she and her boyfriend used a fresh condom every time they had sex, so how could she have caught AIDS? Of course the unfortunate woman did not know that condoms do not prevent AIDS." What piece of advice is that meant to pass to the Public. Abstinence!! Does Chief Ngwana not also know that Sexual intercourse is not the only way through which HIV can be contacted. To have him back his story of condoms because of that story, makes him better offf in the village taking care in the sales of Land. Condom distribution is not only a thing of Africa. In the US, there are volunteers who go around distributing condoms despite thier low prevalence rates and acess to good medication. Just recently in DC, there was the issue of the paper material used in wrapping the condoms. People were concerned because it easily got torn in thier pockets and so arouse the fear that it might not have been properly made altogether. Still that didnot dismiss the idea of condoms effectively protecting against HIV. http://www.fighthivindc.org/labels/condoms.html Somany Cameroonians are always waiting for ideologies like this. News like this runs fast in the quarters. Donot be surprise it will soon be big news "that it has been tested and proven that condoms cannot protect one from HIV". Does Chief Ngwana thinks this piece of information will drive people to abstinence. No!! It will drive more people to the believe that HIV doesnot even exist, and we all know the consequences. I think the Post needs to withdraw articles like this, and make apologies to the Public. I am sure Chief's next article will be " Humans have 45 teeth"
