Whilst I completely agree with you, I do think it works both ways. I turned up to an event in the summer only to find out it had been cancelled - I got nothing in the way of apology from the organiser, only a 'check your spam next time' (funnily enough there wasn't an email in there either). I've also been invited to blog events where my food allergies have been ignored (despite being asked for them), and more than a few where I've been ignored so PRs can fawn over the journalists. I've had to cancel at short-notice once, with my boyfriend genuinely being rushed to hospital, and yep I got the sarcastic reply back... I would only ever cancel with a genuine excuse, and only in real emergency would I cancel on the day. I have been to events where I have been ashamed of bloggers and I do think they are the worst party, but equally there are organisers out there who don't blog (and definitely not you lovely) who seem to tar them all with the same brush...
