I doubt anyone still comes here anymore but for those who do happen to have randomly found there way to my blog and found it somewhat interesting - I have actually created a new blog Clockwork Love Song I actually just created it recently but the reason is that I... Continue reading

I cannot actually see Sho acting like that. He's a professional in this business, he knows that what he does is for the fans enjoyment. It's true, he might not enjoy being humiliated (who does?), and yes, he's probably only doing this for the fans, but I think if he truly, truly, hated what he was doing then the other members would stop, or tell the directors of the show that they feel uncomfortable treating Sho like that. They've been a group for a long time, and they may not be BEST FRIENDS but they know what's best to keep the group going and putting Sho in a situation where he's constantly annoyed probably won't help the group.
Jun and Sho
I was planning to post this long, long thing about how I feel like fandom misunderstands, or... at least has to move away from the labels they put on Jun, and how Sho is way too over-exposed and fandom needs to stop worshipping the perfect, fail, ground he walks on. Instead i'm just going to sum...
@Tsunayoshi Sawada: Ironically what you're trying to point out just kind of... adds to what I was trying to say in this post (re-reading it now I realized I didn't express my thoughts properly...). The main reason I dislike Sho-fail is because it appears to be so obviously fake and forced, but I'm not blaming this on his character. I wouldn't be surprised if he did hate it himself. What I honestly can't stand is how fandom DRINKS this act up ALL THE TIME. Obviously my opinions are different but to me, a joke told once, twice, three times - is funny. A joke told 1000 times? It's not funny anymore, now it's just annoying.

Ah. No, I don't know. I've never been to a karaoke place in Vancouver. I actually found someone on youtube who uploaded the karaoke videos of Arashi songs you would find in Japan and just for fun I wanted to see how well I could sing each song and I found singing (or attempting) to sing Nino's song really enjoyable actually.
Beautiful World Review
So this album was released... well technically it was only released on Wednesday (July 6, 2011) but somehow fangirls always manage to get the disk early (unless you happened to be a Canadian - stupid Canada post *shakes indignant fist*). Anyway. So. I didn't buy the album because my parents have...
I like どこにでもある唄 as a song I just... don't like listening to it (I know - that doesn't make sense does it?). I do enjoy singing the song though, like in karaoke. It is a very beautiful song but when it's played on the album it is just way, way, way too quiet. Haha. I guess we just have very different music tastes then. Although 虹のカケラ~No Rain, No Rainbow~ has grown on me a bit more as time has gone by.
and really? Which part of Canada?

@Mishie-ele: Yeah. Like. I understand that they obviously aren't making as much money as Western celebrities are but that doesn't mean it's "wrong" necessarily. It just all comes down to what perspective you're looking at it from. As I said, entertainment industries are flawed - the Asian ones and the American ones. But the thing is they both work for the culture they were designed for - which I think is the most important thing. I'm not gonna say "one is better than the other" because it's like comparing apples and oranges.
(warning::RANT) Different Cultures, Different Systems
It seems half the time I post here I just seem to be ranting about something vaguely related to Japanese entertainment. I try hard not to but sometimes I really just can't control the urge unless I was to start speaking out loud, in which case I would probably start to scare my parents (ranting ...

Jun - I need to see you shirtless now
Jun. I've never really thought about the guy in terms of looks because ... well I've never liked his hair (which is big factor in looks for me) and if we think about him in terms of body? His broad shoulders always made his waist look SO MUCH more effeminate... Continue reading

まだ見ぬ世界へ PV
I pretty much hyperventilated within the first 30 seconds of the PV. I think that says enough about how much I just absolutely LOVE this PV. Oh. My. God. I didn't really listen to the song when the radio rip came out so this is my first real chance at... Continue reading

Quick Hello
I know, I haven't posted anything in a while. Not even after Arashi's awesome Himitsu no Arashi-chan special, nothing about the Earthquake, nothing about anything really. I've been busy... with life. And I just haven't had time to come up with posts. Any spare time I have goes to sleeping... Continue reading

Hallyu Wave
I really wonder what it is about Korean Entertainment that is making (apparently) the Western world so caught up in it. And I specifically mention Korean because really, Japanese Entertainment, outside of anime/manga, has never gotten this much attention. I'm curious. Why? Because.. well.. too put it bluntly? I don't... Continue reading

Bleach Rock Musical: Generation 1

@Aomori Risu: Ah yeah.. there are those fans too. I don't understand. There are so many Jun-bait fans who come into fandom thinking Jun is Mr. Perfect and then within a week, or a couple of months suddenly their impression will just change and they will like him the least >.< So frustrating!! I came into fandom as a Jun-bait too but he's always been my favourite.
Hate might be kind of strong but yeah. Actually I don't watch VSA anymore.... but I agree, when I did watch it, watching Sho fail all the time was just boring. And it wasn't really Sho's fault the members really played it up to by bullying him. But it was always Sho. I mean sometimes even the others members failed but it was still always mostly about Sho. I want the old - less fail Sho back too. :(
Jun and Sho
I was planning to post this long, long thing about how I feel like fandom misunderstands, or... at least has to move away from the labels they put on Jun, and how Sho is way too over-exposed and fandom needs to stop worshipping the perfect, fail, ground he walks on. Instead i'm just going to sum...
@nimby: I'm glad Jun is risng up on your list. ^^ and It's not the actual members that annoy me.. it's mostly the fans attitudes towards the members.
does Ohno annoy you cause he doesn't do much/is always spaced out? I'm just curious :P I can't see any other reason people would find him annoying. Haha.

@mishie-ele: I know the stereotypes are there but... it seems like (to me anyway) that Jun's stereotype can be seen more negatively than the other ones. Like for Aiba being stereotyped as "stupid". Generally it's used as a "Aiba is so cute" kind of way, positive. But for Jun "drama-queen"... well people have used that negatively for him to and it just.. doesn't seem right.
don't worry. A lot of people haven't reached that stage. You're probably more the majority than me ^^;; It's very likely a supply-demand kind of thing, it's probably why I don't like it. I always get frustrated when things are too hyped up. Like apple products (ipods and apple computers). same thing. True, I don't want hiim to just be the same but if Sho is gonna change I want it to be a natural change, not one he's obviously forcing on himself. >.<

@yuui1010: Of course i don't mind your opinion xD
Yeah, there are a lot of moments where i find that Jun is actually a really big dork too. Lately he's been showing it more but it's always been there. I really like when he smiles too. And whenever Jun laughs I always seem to laugh with him because he really laughs.
I know it's natural for people to compare others but just cause you compare doesn't mean one person has to be better than the other right? I think I just don't like the idea because I get compared a lot with my siblings and I really hate it >.<
I say that Nino and Jun are my ichibans but really, it doesn't mean that much. ^^;; I end up treating them all the same in the end.

@totwi~: yeah, I forget typepad isn't like LJ. Sometimes when I see comments from Arashi fans on LJ ... I just feel like I don't want to get on the bad-side of those people cause you can't argue with them. -_-;;
Yeah. It's not that I don't like seeing the occasional Sho!Fail, I mean sometimes it really is funny and I like it but it's when it starts getting obvious and forced that I begin to get frustrated. And there are so many moments where you don't really need it and somehow I being to feel awkward for him... maybe he should take lessons from Aiba on how to be more natural xD Hahaha.
I get what you said, dont' worry :P. Actually when I first wrote this post it was LONG, I rambled so much and then i realized I probably shouldn't make a post so big and went to summarize it into.. what it is now. Imagine how long it was before. Haha.

@Arumiko: I know right? >.< I remember Sho was my ichiban once because I liked him for being smart, his rapping and because he could still be dorky - but not for being fail. Being a dork and being Mr. Fail are too different things for me. I just want my regular Dorky!Sho back, without the extra amount of Fail that seems to come attached now.
Well I had to post this somewhere. I'd had these thoughts for so long and... something just triggered me to finally get them out. I couldn't tell any of my real life fangirl friends either because they are ALL Sho fans and won't listen to me.
