A Quick Tip : No-Brainer Shamrocks
Hi everyone! Hannah here for a quick tip: No-Brainer Shamrocks just in time for St. Patty's Day. Step 1: Take a scrap piece of paper Step 2: Fold the paper in half and draw half heart, cut along line. Step 3: Using your heart as a stencil draw three hearts using your desired patterned paper. **The reason why we don't want to use Step 1 and 2 to make our final hearts is because we don't want that pesky crease down the middle of our hearts. Step 4: Arrange your 3 hearts in a shamrock fashion and use your scraps... Continue reading

Write a Message of Love
One thing I love about Valentine's Day is that it's still tradition to exchange a handwritten card from one person to another (underneath all the chocolates and roses). Remember those old fashioned things - letters, the post office, stamps!? In a day and age when most people email, text, tweet, and everything in between it's really nice to take a breath, grab a pen, and write a note to someone you love in your own handwriting (even if it's chicken scratch!). I remember growing up my mom would leave notes for me in my lunch bag or sometimes I'd find... Continue reading

Hi everyone! It's Hannah, hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I know I did! But now that we're past Thanksgiving it's time to celebrate Christmas here at MAMBI-land and we're breaking in to our holiday traditions around here. A Quick Tip : Chill Out!
Happy Friday everyone! Hannah here for a quick tip: >>Chill Out!<< Here's what a mean: have you ever had to use hot glue but had to wait for the gule to cool down and set before you could let go? This can definitely take a while; it's called HOT glue for a reason! Next time use a can of compressed air. Turn the can upside-down and direct the straw to the hot glue to instantly chill the glue. You might have seen pastry chefs on Food Network use this trick when creating sugar sculptures. Be careful not to get your... Continue reading

Gift Card Book
Product used for this project: Copper Willow Specialty Paper Pad with Coordinating Cardstock, Holiday Clear Stamp Kit, Copper Willow Leaf Embellishments Happy Friday! Hannah here for a project for you. Recently my friend Albert had a birthday and our group of friends wanted to get him some gift cards. Some may think that gift cards are impersonal but I don't think so. There's no reason why it doesn't have to feel personal and from the heart if it's delivered thoughtfully. I made a gift card book for all of us to include the gift card or our choosing and a... Continue reading

A Quick Tip : Cable Management
Happy Friday everyone, Hannah here for a quick tip! Recently I've had to venture behind my computer to unplug a specific cable. Have you ever peeked behind there? It's a mess! Once I got on the floor and behind my computer tower I couldn't figure out which cable was the right one to unplug! If you were to take out all your computer cables it might look a little something like this: I'd consider myself computer savvy but I don't know what each cable looks like on both ends. Do you?! Our tip today is: >>Cable Management<< using our paper... Continue reading

The weather is changing and the air is getting cooler...it's fall! Hannah here for a project and I love fall; it's one of my favorite seasons. I'm so envious of anyone who gets to see the leaves change to beautiful warm colors. Here in Southern California we don't get much of a fall BUT I will be traveling to Chicago to see my wonderful boyfriend next weekend so I hope to see some early fall colors there. I HOPE! Our Copper Willow collection in Jo-Ann stores definitely puts me in the mood for fall and I'd like to share some... Continue reading

A Quick Tip : Simple Scoring
Happy Friday everyone! Hannah here for a quick tip: >>Simple Scoring<< Here at MAMBI we're always using our Scor-it Boards to score paper for projects or mockups. It's a really helpful tool to crease paper cleanly and easily. I've found it super helpful when card-making or doing paper crafts. The rulers at the top of the board make it very easy to measure where I want my crease to go and the rubber surface (black area) keeps the paper from slipping. If you don't have a Scor-it Board, fear not! Today's quick tip will show you a way to crease... Continue reading

MAMBI in the blogosphere!
Hi everyone! Hannah here for a quick mid-week post. I was surfing the usual blogs that I keep tabs on when I happened upon something that looked so very familiar to me. Check out MAMBI's Fashion District paper being used so beautifully for a wedding!! I literally LOLed and called Rachel over, my work roommate, and we both giggled as we saw Fashion District in action.
