I think Bradley was offsides. Glad to see him score, but I think he got away with one.
Americans Abroad: Weekend Rewind
Photo by John Todd/ISIphotos.com By FRANCO PANIZO It may have taken a little longer than he would have liked, but Maurice Edu finally made his Stoke City debut. Edu made his first appearance for Stoke in the club's scoreless draw with Liverpool on Sunday. Edu came off the bench and played the...
How on earth do you call out Jones and Edu and ignore the train wreck of a game Beckerman had?
Jamaica rallies from early deficit to earn first win over USMNT
photo by John Todd/ISIphotos.com By FRANCO PANIZO For a second straight month, Jurgen Klinsmann and the U.S. men's national team made history, but this time the result was not one they wish to remember. Weeks after beating Mexico for the first time in a friendly at Azteca Stadium, the United ...
Predictably mediocre.
Jones scores winner as Schalke tops Augsburg

Sorry Sacha's dad, but I stand by what I said.
It's absolutely factual that the announcer made the disparaging remark about Klejstan. He did play 90, but he had zero involvement on either goal and now you're just making stuff up. Talk about a crock. He played back passes and square balls all game long, not a dangerous pass to even be sniffed anywhere near the man.
Injured Bradley out for USA's World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica
If the U.S. men's national team is to take a pair of World Cup qualifying results off of Jamaica, it will have to do so without the services of integral midfielder Michael Bradley. Bradley's agent told FOX Soccer that he will miss the Sept. 7 and 11 matches against Jamaica after picking up ...
Did you see him in Champion's league qualifier? He was terrible. He did absolutely nothing. Even the TV commentator made the same remark about Klejstan.

It think it would be a drag if he ended up at Sunderland because IMO they lack the talent to push for anything more than Europa. O'Neil is a fantastic coach so it wouldn't be the end of the world. I just don't see how Dempsey could mentally continue to push himself on a club that is satisfied with just staying in Premier league.
I think Liverpool isn't that far talent-wise from a CL spot, certainly closer than Fulham. I wish he would go to Everton or Tottenham but I don't think it's in the cards.
Jol: Dempsey transfer talks with 'several' clubs continue, Sunderland interested
Time is running short on Clint Dempsey's hopes at moving clubs before Friday's summer transfer deadline, but Fulham manager Martin Jol revealed that potential for a move is there as the club has ongoing talks with others about a transfer for the U.S. national team star. Jol used Sunderland ...

First goal defenders are running at full speed. They get caught out by the poor defending on the initial pass to Jozy. The cross is pinpoint from his teammate. Sorry, I disagree on the first goal.
The second goal, the marking should have been tighter. It looked like the defenders were playing him to pass.
Altidore nets two more goals in AZ win
Jozy Altidore can't stop scoring. The U.S. Men's National Team forward scored two more goals today, both of the quality variety, in AZ Alkmaar's 3-1 win against Heracles. That gives him four in two matches, and gives him an outstanding start to the season. Altidore didn't just score tap-in g...
Agree somewhat. He definitely fluffed a clearance.
I'm not sure he deserves all the blame when there was virtually no pressure on the wide players as they crossed the ball. Chicharito did get loose, but I don't think he is particularly easy to mark and the service from out wide was spot on.
Cameron unavailable for Stoke opener
Photo by ISIphotos.com Geoff Cameron's Premier League debut will have to wait a week. According to Stoke City's official website, Cameron won't be able to return to England until early next week while finalizing his visa, and he is unavailable for the club's opener against Reading on Sautrday...
Why are you a Fulham fan?
Not speaking on behalf of all American fans, but the US player would be our most logical connection to a club. I grew up a Cincinnati Reds fan because I was born near there and went to some games as a kid. It's impossible to have that home town connection for an American born Yank supporting an EPL club.
Even with Dempsey last year, to be honest Fulham's games were frequently boring. I like Danny Murphy a lot but he is past his prime, as is Duff. I doubt I will be watching many Fulham games this season. Fickle it is I guess.

All he has to do is play perfect. Got it.
The best defenders in the world get beat to the ball on occasion by the best attackers in the world. It happens. Players that survive and thrive in the EPL win their fair share and apply pressure when they don't. The standard isn't perfection.
As much as I hate the man, John Terry is a terrific CB. But he still gets beat on occasion.

30 is kinda like a magic number for players traditional decline. A season in turmoil isn't a great way to approach the game to try and exceed what you had done previously either. It kinda feels like now or never.

I kind of agree, although Liverpool played without arguably their best player in Suarez for 8 games last season (Gerrard isn't the player he used to be). I think Liverpool could have been a few places higher with the talent they have.

I think you are naive to think Dempsey has much if any goodwill left with the Fulham fans. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes if he is forced to stay at Fulham. My guess is he would prefer road games.

Totally 100% agree. Dempsey already showed, months ago, he wasn't interested in returning to Fulham by not signing an extension. The game is played by the teams in the transfer market. This is Fulham's best and almost last chance to get anything in the transfer market for Dempsey (they would get next to nothing in January window). They (Fulham) are playing other clubs desire to have Dempsey on their squad against the possibility of getting zero for him in a year.
Dempsey is now in the untenable position of having to play for a club he has publically stated he no longer wishes to play for. I am always amazed how quickly folks jump on ownerships side in this game.

Wow, way to debate and win an argument I never made, congrats. Of course MLS is important.
Brek Shea had a good outing, first one in a while. Again not anything to do with my post. Jones had a rough game, yep, nothing to do with my post. Torres didn't defend well, ok, so what, it as nothing to do with my pst.
I disagree that Beckerman passed well out of the back. His passes were Inaccurate, leaving other mids lunging to just get a foot on the ball. He basically trapped the ball out of bounds for a corner. Beckerman is a destroyer. He doesn't pass particularly well or help with possession as a real strong DM should. That is why he hasn't drawn much interest from clubs in higher paying leagues. You should stop with the straw man arguments and quit claiming other people are ignorant because they disagree with your position.
USMNT top Mexico to pick up historic first win at Azteca

His job is also to connect the defense with the other mids and forwards. He did not do this well at all in my opinion. I disagree with "d"s comment that I don't know soccer. DM's that prove to be invaluable do more than break up the other teams play. They also consistently help the defense move the ball out of the back without turning it over. To me, that is the real weakness of Beckerman's game.
Under pressure, Beckerman turns the ball over way to much.

DM's also connect the back line with the other mids. It's equally important to get some distribution from the DM. The fact that Beckerman is one dimensional keeps him solidly in the MLS.

WOW, way to use a statistic in a way that completely distorts Cameron's performance. His positioning was excellent most of the game. He headed away multiple crosses. MOTM is awarded strangely enough to the MOTM not MOTP6M. Cameron had a good outing, not flawless, but it was good. Give credit where it's due.

Your acting a bit like one. Do you not delegate any of your duties? Should JK stop by an run a few U11 clinics in the neighborhood?
If you are in fact a college coach you sound like the pompous know it all that continuously let's his players know he is in charge.
If i recall correctly... JK hired Claudio Reyna as the youth technical director. A good coach (any manager for that matter) needs to be flexible in his approach changing a massive program. So what if He is trying to implement a 4-3-3 and doesn't always stick with it. I imagine if he did and lost with it you would fillet him for being tactically inflexible.
