We need some new language that describes what happens and, more importantly, what is possible when the words are separated from the paper. Those two things need to be separated so we can build systems and infrastructure that supports the new capabilities of the technology."
Indeed, we do need new language. The same holds true for the concept of "Social Media", and is a problem I have been struggling with for years.
It will continue, I suspect, until the technology arrives that not only eliminates the need for the paper but for the screen. The ubiquitous personal head-up-display will bring media consumption to its climax.
