It is of no suprise to anyone, my latest borderline obssesion is with Ms. Senora Gagacita. I am a child of pop culture and she is the epitome of such. An affinity for performance art, tranny fashion, electro dance pop, and classical piano melodies, she has breathed life into pop culture the way only a few have been able to do. Ms. Barbra streisand acted, sang, and directed this film/borderline musical about a young orthodox, Hasidic woman named Yentl who wanted to study at a yeshiva. (A school to study classic jews texts like the Torah).....so she dresses up in drag calls herself Anshel and fakes everyone. !YAY! Then she gets a crush on the hottie, Avigdor, who is in love with Haddass, who consequently starts to fall in love with Anshel....what a love triangle....and with all the homoerotic undertones, I can't help but love this film even more.
