I said today that we must make ourselves a chickweed salve soon. Good for drawing out splinters. Good for stings too, but I'm most concerned with the splinters... We will be making salve with plantain and calendula too, cause we always have lots of that growing in the summer.

Oh, first you got my attention with the beautiful strawberry photograph, then I was interested in the caterpillar, now I love what you had to say about our children and their life outdoors!

I am definitely a small town person but that great old architecture is certainly to be admired! (p.s. you and I are the same age, I have been on a train once...)

Beauty and goodness, thank you for the bright moment! We were wishing for fresh squeezed orange juice yesterday... The Sun Egg is one of the Elsa Beskow books that we do not have, though I almost got it for Chessa for her birthday (Monday, 6!), some time soon hopefully we will be able to enjoy it. I hope you have a very nice weekend with your family, you know you are often in my thoughts, sending lots of love... Renee xo

Oh my goodness, beautiful! I'm so happy that I get to come and sit by them, can't wait. Can you believe the conversation you had with Chessa? It has taken six years for you to hear that much of her voice! Maybe she will talk to Tommy next time!

We are getting ready for a birthday too, which around here always means lots of sewing. I did okay with the sewing challenge, finished one top and got started on another. We live in a small town without many fabric buying options so I know how you feel!

You accomplished what is most important, enjoying and appreciating our first days of warmth! I thought of you when it was so beautiful the other day :) Is that a bib laying over the highchair? Did you make it? I'm in love with the colors! I just posted my sewing challenge results, finished only one project but got a good start on another too. Wishing you (and us) many more happy sunny days!

Taking a quick peek at these great photos, love that little pink quilt! But now I need to go get my laundry hung, it's a race against the afternoon thunderstorms... No photos yet but hopefully soon... xoxo

I almost called you this weekend (to chat sewing stuff) but I knew you would be out enjoying the beautiful days. So happy for the chickens and goats! Would have loved to help build, sorry for our... our what, I am trying to figure out what words to use, our lack of participation, our anti-socialness, I don't know, but hope to see you all soon! xoxo

Beautiful dress, really neat fabric! I have been sewing from that book this week also, lots of time tracing patterns... I'm going to go explore your sewing link a bit now...

I received an invitation to my sewing circle also, I haven't gone to look yet, I knew I should probably focus on some actual sewing first! But I'm sure it's great and am looking forward to checking it out. I love that pear fabric, I can see that your dress will be super cute!

Oh Grace, Elizabeth's skirt is so so beautiful! I can't wait to see what else you make. I am finishing up a top for Chloe, my husband said he likes it but is worried she will be too warm in it, I told him there is only a month or so that it will be too hot. Today it would have been good with a wool cardigan over it! Happy sewing!

So many great photos! I am so happy to see the beginnings of this project. I do so enjoy my homekeeping chores. Now, I did intend to get our line up this weekend, but Sunday came around and I had to choose between outdoor home activities, gardening and and the laundry line, or an adventure into the forest. The forest won, but I will still get that line hung! I do have a small wooden drying rack, I always use that, (I kinda stole it from my girls!), didn't think to take any pics of it though... Hope you have been very well and had a wonderful Mother's Day! xoxo

I appreciate you sharing your chicken experiences. Glad there is now peace in the flock! Yes, I have plenty of fabrics that I feel that way about. Last year I made my littlest one a dress and added some crochet lace trim, then realized I have had that trim for nearly 15 years! That's how long it took me to use any of it! I was glad though that I had it for something just right. I'm sure you will make something wonderful with your precious fabrics!
I am going to attempt the challenge too! Will be kinda tricky since I am pretty busy with work Mon-Thurs but still going for it... I am glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day, you deserve it!
