I live in South now and unfortunately, people are just as rude here now as they are everywhere else about pregnancy, if you've found a place where people aren't, stay there for as long as it stays that way. My favorite is the "nice insult" the "bless your heart, you look like your going to burst (have twins, pop, etc)."
In my experience you get it from all sides of mommys too. The moms of many look at my three (I'm Catholic too, so big families are all around me) and cluck that I'm wasting time. But you would not believe the number of total strangers who see me with my three-year-old, two-year-old and eleven-month-old and say to me (without a polite laugh even), "you know how that is happening right?" Is there something wrong with that?
I don't mean to come-off sounding "better-than-thou Christian" when I say this, but I spend a lot of time praying. Praying that people can learn manners and decency and that they be cured of their ignorance. And praying I don't punch the next person in Wal-Mart who asks me "if I'm done (having kids) yet."
