Do dogs speak English?
I was at the vet this morning (where I spent $307 thanks Rigby) and in the waiting room trying to manage Rigby. In the corner was a woman speaking to her dog in German. How silly I thought, she doesn't... Continue reading

Lunch, lust and business deals
I'm off on a business date for lunch. A business date is different than a business meeting, or even business lunch. Speaking for myself a business date contains elements of lust. It all started last Thursday. I went to my... Continue reading

Glad you liked it. If you stay tuned, and I find the energy (dubious) then you can read about the trip back by down winding, hard-dirt packed roads through forests of tall stringy-barks when I didn't see a soul or another vehicle for 30 minutes.
Somewhere bushy
Depending on who you speak to I'm either in Mirboo North, Milford or Dumbalk North right now. Regardless of how you call it it's a very pretty place. I drove up yesterday with an over-excited, borderline hyperventilating Rigby in the back seat. It took about two hours all up. For most of it I ...

True believers losing the faith
Labor cannot thrive if it's just political professionals focused on electoral victory. via www.theage.com.au Well done John Faulkner! This is the Labor party I remember. And this is the common sense every true believer fears the party leadership will ever... Continue reading

Why you?
I came across these questions reading a business blog (http://www.tomspencer.com.au/2011/04/27/finding-yourself/) and I think they're great fuel for thought. Credit to Tom Spencer for this, really thought provoking stuff. I thought I'd share with you guys. What do you reckon? Here... Continue reading

Time to make a difference

Pissing into the wind
Watching The Kennedys on TV is not doing much for my peace of mind. This week we saw JFK sort out civil rights down south before taking on Khrushchev during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Pretty absorbing stuff, and uplifting in... Continue reading

A little bit of poetry you reckon? Yes, it works for me. I seem to recall that J Peterman in Seinfeld used to include stupendous stories of adventure in his clothing catalogue. Of course, that was only fiction.
Ironically enough one of the girls I was seeing at this time managed an online clothing site, and actually engaged a professional blogger to create the mood. Maybe I should have told her about my P Coat experience, though she may not have properly appreciated it.
Perhaps it's a niche I should target. I've got plenty of stories, and nice poetic distance.
Keeping myself warm
Wore my black woollen P coat into the city for the first time this year last night, and had porridge for breakfast this morning - sure sign that things are cooling down. It's actually a very pretty today today, as it has been for a few days. But though it was close to 30 earlier in the week the ...
