Lee I am a West Texas nurse and attended all the hearings and the trial of Anne and Vickilyn. It was truly an exercise in small town politics gone wrong as well as a positive exercise in moral courage on their part. I read numerous comments from you in support of them and I can tell you that they truly appreciated all the support from everyone. They told me often that it was the "right thing to do." I am interested in knowing why the AAPS think anonymous reporting is so detrimental to the profession. Are they not transparent in their practice? Is it an ego thing? Do they not feel the need to advocate for patient safety? I am a bit confused with their stance. I am writing a paper on whistleblowing in the healthcare industry for a graduate class and would appreciate some insight both professionally and for my paper. Thanks Sherrie, RN
