There are so many emotions, thoughts, and words that come to mind when I look at this picture. This is myself, my baby brother, and my baby sister. Me and my brother are 3 yrs apart and have been close for as long as I can remember. We were and still are Army Brats to the core. My brother is currently serving his 3rd tour over seas. He is currently stationed in Afghanistan. There have been way too many times to count when I have shed tears for him...the not knowing...the black outs...the anticipation of hearing if he was safe he all you hear on the news is bad. But when he comes home, he somehow puts all his fears and nightmares and flashbacks somewhere on the back burner to make his only niece laugh and fall in love with him over and over again after he has been gone for so long. My brother, my baby brother, is and will forever be my hero. No civilian will ever quite understand the horror that you have had to endure. But there is and always will be a special place in my heart and soul for all man and woman of the Armed Forces! It takes a special kind of LOVE and honor to give so selflessly for ones country!!! NOW THAT IS LOVE ABOVE ALL OTHERS! There is nothing that I would not do for these 2 very special people in this picture with me. I LOVE YOU SGT DUSTIN ROGER AND MAISIE ROGER!!
