Wow! In that one picture Lena and Will look about the same size(from that camera angle). So sweet - she is choking...oops...I mean hugging him - what wonderful cousins they will be.
Life is a Beautiful Thing
I have the pleasure of introducing my newest nephew, Mr. William Myron! This strapping young lad came into the world weighing an impressive 10 pounds, 10 ounces and was 23 inches long. ('Wow' was all I could say, too!) He joins his awesome parents, four doting siblings and four equally d...
Oh, you'd think that after having 2 in college and only 2 left at home, I would get out of the check-off-list mentality. Things have been so busy here that I think I would forget my head if it weren't attached. :)
What a breath of fresh air it is to just stop and sit and watch the kids play in that crisp fall air. I miss New England autumns for sure - the colors, the pleasant chill in the air before it gets really bone-chilling cold, the apple cider and pumpkins, the way the leaves blow across the yard...
But keep your eyes on the road next time :)
Just-About-Perfect
We are in the midst of a beautiful New England fall week. The leaves are breathtaking this year. It's almost hard to drive right now and stay focused because the trees are so bright and distracting and perfect that I would much rather be paying attention to them tha...
Lovely lovely. Their toys and books and all those wonder-full art supplies and nature goodies too. Thanks for a fun giveaway.

That would be a treat! And it's okay to drink?
My grandfather used to take empty milk jugs to a nearby natural spring as well, but his weren't free - he had to pay 10 cents for each gallon he pumped. Still a great deal.
Enjoying....our very own Spring!
Ok, so it's not our very own spring, but it is just down the street and free to anyone who wants to stop by and fill up on its deliciousness. Close enough, right? How grateful we are to this rustic, rural, tiny, New Hampshire town for continuing to reveal her lovely little secrets to...

Joining Soulemama today in..... {this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. ~Amanda Soule "The boat they built"
She likes the berries, I see! Good thing.
We missed blueberry picking this year due to bad weather for the local farms. We miss it. Are these your own blueberries or from your favorite blueberry patch you wrote about before? I'm hoping to plant some high bushes next year but need to read up on what types to plant. Any suggestions?

Looks like some lovely birthday goodies. Yay for the ball winder - and yes, feet or hands or the back of a chair will suffice until you get a swift. I've never heard of that magazine - I'll have to look for it.
Yarn Along ~ August 1
Wow, August 1. (Not quite sure how I feel about that!) Today, I'm linking up with Ginny for her weekly yarn along. My Tiny Tea Leaves cardi is coming along nicely. I'm almost done with the yoke and hope to have it finished by the weekend. This one will be for Rylen, and I'm making a size 12....
Very ingenious kids you have, Kristen. Maybe some of their ideas and motivation should rub off on my kids.
Their (Lucrative) Silent Auction
Around here, money for this or that isn't handed out very often. Birthdays, tooth fairy visits, or the occasional allowance for above and beyond chores are the usual ways that our youngsters earn their petty cash. When they have something on their mind to buy, we encourage them to "be creative"...
Look at Lena's expression! Priceless! And of course, a bright neon-pick tutu is a must for blueberry picking. Looks like you're enjoying yourself. Praying for you guys!

Yum, yum! I missed strawberry picking time - actually there are no strawberry farms nearby that did well this year. I keep telling my husband that we need to plant our own.
{pause}
A moment from this week to stop and savour. No words, only a picture. (Inspired by SouleMama)
