Oh my goodness!!!! You did awesome!!!! And your girl is adorable. What a great costume. Have fun trick or treating tomorrow!!! THANK YOU for sharing your hard work with me!
Aww. Unfortunately the link did not work because it's tied to your private FB account. If you post the image publicly then we'll be able to see it. Anyhow, have a wonderful HALLOWEEN!
Hi Ashley, I believe I split them up for my daughter. I would determine the yards needed depending on the size of your child. GOOD LUCK!
Anita,if the image is uploaded somewhere online maybe you can link to it? I'D LOVE TO SEE YOUR FINISHED COSTUME, please! :)
Hi Jamie, I hope you receive this reply in time. For the crescent moon shape, the rounded part is where the teeth are sewn and the straight part of the half moon/crescent is the back part of the hood. I used SAFETY PINS to clip the corners, you can see this in a photo above .It totally stayed up well enough for us! GOOD LUCK!
Hi Shyanne, I just posted this for Leslie: "To create the hood part of the costume, fold the pre-measured purple fabric in half, stuff with batting, and cut out a crescent shape." If I can remember, I pre-measured my daughter and cut a piece of fabric the shape of a rectangle. Then I cut that rectangle into the shape of a crescent; half a circle and sewed it together. It's been awhile, but I hope that helps. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR COSTUME!
Hi Leslie, let me see if I can help: "To create the hood part of the costume, fold the pre-measured purple fabric in half, stuff with batting, and cut out a crescent shape." You don't have use Lamay. I did because of the shiny texture. I'm sure you can use any fabric that's a bit stiffer...
I took measurements from my daughter. Good luck, Devon!
Hi Audrey, I'm not much help with further details for the hood part since it's been awhile, but I can try?! What would you like to know?
THANKS for the kind words, Lilley! I hope your costume turns out spectacular!

For the batting I honestly couldn't remember! For the crescent shape it was more of a moon shape.
I can't even remember how I measured out the hood part! I think I just eyeballed it and sewed the two pieces together! It was a very big hood so I ended up just plopping it over my daughter's head!
Brenda, I can't remember how I made the hood was made either. I didn't have special material to make it stand up, it just kind of plopped over my daughter's head!
Sierra, had you asked earlier, I would've just sent it to you! I donated the costume to a local charity center a few months ago.
It's been awhile since I've made this costume, Tiana. Where are you stuck and I'll try hard to remember!
Good luck, Mary. I hope this works out for you!
This is wonderful! You did a really PRO JOB!
