I admit, the video is pretty funny. The only thing is, if you take away the bad singing and the lyric forgetting and the video, you're left with a young Metric fan. What I've learned from listening to Lady GaGa interviews is that the fans are what keeps music going. If someone is a Metric fan at 12, they're bound to grow up into bigger Metric fans and listen to a lot of other good music. Music is supposed to be free, just to appreciate a different kind of art. I feel like Metric would like this video not because its funny, but because someone who is younger than the majority of their fans is appreciating their art. At a young age, copying or mockery is a form of flattery. I agree, the video is funny, but I in NO way think that they did it because they wanted to make fun of Metric. They're just tweens making a music video. I'm a little upset so many people sent them mean messages. My 13 year old self would definitely cry after that. I could be wrong. And, I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, that's just my opinion.

Aww, thank you :) I felt bad for having my lens BASICALLY in Emily's face a majority of the time; but every mood she made, I was like "can't forget this!". And, I love how you can still see her energy in all of them. And not just hers, all of them. I'm sort of happy they're not super popular in the US, or I would have never been able to see them in such a small venue and gotten to talk to them. Or have such good pictures! haha.

LazyDancer wanted to see more photos from when I saw Metric in November in Albany, NY. I uploaded them to Flickr, so you can check them out if you want. :O) http://www.flickr.com/photos/48079940@N04/sets/72157623550318614/ I'm not a professional, but I think they're pretty good, haha.

Yes, please. I'd go. I'd bring friends. It'd be worth it to play MANY shows in New York.
Way to steal my story! lol.
So, interesting story time! I went bowling today with some friends and the bowling ally was just playing a random radio station around Albany, NY. It was playing alternative rock from the 80's, 90's, and today. Then, I realized, I... Continue reading

I LOVE Metric, and I know my story is really awesome and a lot of other people have similar ones, but I find that Emily really doesn't love touching or getting too close to the fans. The energy in our crowd was SO awesome (Gerard, I believe you were there waiting with me outside, and me and several others wouldn't shut up about the excitement.) but it took Emily over half the show to even sing into someone's eyes (me). And, once she touched my hand, she touched my friend Jeanny's. Then, it was like one other person and she was done. She looked me in the eye a couple more times, but that was the most we could get after that. Then, after the show, Joules jumped down and grabbed me and Jeanny's arm and had a full conversation with us about how pumped we were and how they should come here more often. I still love Emily, and it doesn't make me like her any less, but I wish she was just as excited as Joules. Her stage presence is SO intoxicating, I feel like we'd all just die if she connected more.

I don't know Jaime's story either, but I have a feeling I'm gonna be SUPER jealous when I find out!

At the show I went to, Emily was very hesitant to touch the audience. But, I kept putting my arm up, because well, I wanted her to touch my hand lulz. And, my friend kept telling me "shes not going to do it, shes not going to do it." But, I keep hope. Then, during Stadium Love, Emily got on one knee RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME so we were looking eye to eye, and sang "Every living thing, pushed into the ring. Fight out to wow the crowd. Guess you thought you couldn't just watch." I think that's the moment I died. She continued to touch my hand and look me (and the rest of the audience) in the eyes for the rest of the night. She is SUCH an angel.
