Hi everyone! It's been a while since I last posted here in my blog... those who follow me would know that I am mainly a mixed media person, but recently I have been teaching adult coloring and have now been working with watercolour... which I absolutely love. I have been asked about my process and so I decided to write this post.. Here is a recent piece I finished. I started with freehand florals and abstract florals which I find very relaxing since it is very free and you have absolutely no idea how the final outcome will look like... Continue reading

Hello everyone! It's a rainy day here in Manila and no classes for my girls due to the weather. A perfect time to just hang-out and bond with the kids. For those who have been bitten by the adult coloring craze, I want to share with you this short video I made on how I layer and blend colors using colored pencils. Materials used are Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils (LOVE!), Mungyo Soft Pastels (very affordable and works like a dream), Wink of Stella Glitter Pens and Brushes (another top favorite), inks and stamps (from my mixed media stash). Hope you will... Continue reading

Hello everyone! I am taking a huge scary step here by publishing for the first time a video tutorial on how I usually make my background pages as base for my scrapbook layouts. I focused on how to use Shimmerz Mists and Dazzelerz and combining it with Shabby Embossing Enamels to create a beautiful textured background. The paper collection I used is from Webster's Pages "Strawberry Fields". Dies from CheeryLynn Designs and The Tattered Lace. Washi tape from My Mind's Eye, Stencils from The Crafter's Workshop, and laser cut chipboard from Dusty Attic. Here are some detail shots. And here... Continue reading

Hi everyone! Just sharing here a canvas I made for Maja Design Papers... Used their Vintage Summer and Vintage Spring basic papers together with some dies from Memory Box and The Tattered Lace Designs to create soft dimensional foam and gold foil cut shapes. Having some serious back pains so I hope you will forgive me for this very brief post. Just wanted to make sure I had something for you here every now and then... Thanks for your visit! I recently learned of the DT CALL for Cheerylynn Designs. I love their dies and since I always incorporate the use of dies in my work I thought to give it a try. I chose this piece since all or most of the embellishments here were created using dies, foam sheet, and some paint... The beautiful bird cage I used here is from Cheerylynn Dies... Bird Cage - B198 I had a whole afternoon free to create and so I sat down with a piece of plain, cheap, raw chipboard sheet and created this. I coated the chipboard sheet with... Continue reading

Hi everyone! I am back to share with you a layout using a Sold-out collection from Webster's Pages - "Strawberry Fields". This line is almost completely sold out from the manufacturer's side but you may still catch a few of the released paper packs from your local scrapbook store. As usual, to create the base of my layout, I used my collection of Shimmerz mists and for this page I used the new release for "Coloringz". I love this new release because it still gives you the same vibrant colors but in a more pastel and chalky look. It gives... Continue reading

In a crafter's life, there are paper lines that we love, and then there those rare few that we absolutely can not live without! This new paper line from Webster's Pages called "Nest" easily took up the spot of my previously most loved paper design "Postcards in Paris 2", which is also from Webster's Pages and designed also by Brandin O'Neil. We haved moved in to our home a year ago but most of our walls still remain bare. I decided that it is time to make some bigger sized canvas frames for our walls and I started with this... I made this 14 x 16 inch canvas art for the daugher of my husband's colleague. The base was a stretched and primed canvas and I laid down the initial colors with Shimmerz Paints and Mists. The papers are from Webster's Pages. A simple tip for those wanting to try canvas art, when you are working with waterbased materials such as mists, watercolors etc. Make sure to seal the layers by using a sealant such as a soft gel gloss. This will prevent the runnning and bleeding of colors when you add more layers on top of your base layer.... Continue reading
