40 - not only the number of one of the best of the Psalms, but also a celebrated and feared milestone in a person's life. I turned 40 in June, and it happened with neither fanfare nor grief. I actually felt that turning 40 was far less traumatic than turning 30. When I turned 30, I was in a place of disappointment, disillusionment, and self-pity. I wanted a baby more than I could express, but I experienced only denial and failure and a miscarriage. Ten years later and I'm now a deeply satisfied wife and mother to two beautiful daughters....
