What future the television? With the next generation of Apple TV due for release, and Google soon to follow, attention has (momentarily) shifted away from mobile and computing, and back to the domestic screen. Manufacturers know many of us want to bag the latest TV as a living room centre-piece... Continue reading

Those evil PR chaps will tell you that the easiest thing to understand, and remember, and mention to your friend waiting in the bar, is a good story. Advertisers however must work harder - they must make their brand part of your story. But how can they do this? In... Continue reading

Thought I'd saunter down to the O2 store in Victoria yesterday to investigate upgrade options for my iPhone 3G - not convinced the new model merited its price tag, and intrigued by O2's new 'Simplicity' price plans. Alas, the forces that be were against me - nearly walked straight into... Continue reading

Every year another computer manufacturer stops putting floppy drives in its machines, or a retailer stops selling the disks. Each time the cry goes up that the death knell has been sounded for the floppy disk. via Intriguing - I can only guess that perhaps schools are still buying... Continue reading

Great article on the guardian online today - Sean O'Hagan highlights the apparent absurdity of restrictions (increasingly self-imposed) on street photographers working in our major cities today. We voluntarily catalogue everything we do, as well as live in the most surveilled country in the world: CCTV tracks our every movement,... Continue reading

After Obama used social networking to such great success in his bid for the US presidency, there's been a lot of talk as to how much of a role it will play in our older, but increasingly Americanised democracy (you know, the one over that small stretch of water). For... Continue reading

I thought I'd take my blog's virginity with a big thank you to everyone I worked with during my placement at Albion (you know who you are!). I've also stolen your colour scheme for my website - hoping this will be seen as a compliment, and not plagiarism... When I... Continue reading
