Lazor's worked under a lot of good coaches, has been considered a guy on the rise. I think he'll do a great job.

It's a cliche to say that family considerations are responsible for this decision but in this case I believe it to be the case. I don't think it had anything to do with the Dolphins organization, just the need to live close to family when they will need him most.

Considering the state of the nation the chance of accomplishing anything substantial on this issue via government regulation is somewhere between slim and none. And though I do not hold the "libertarian" anti-"nanny-state" views that are so popular these days, I think that most Americans would view this area as a personal responsibility issue rather than an area requiring extensive government intervention. I will go as far as to say that most of these proposed solutions not only would not pass in the current environment, they would not have passed 2 years or 10 years ago either.

I find it disheartening that there are still so many idiots willing to make themselves and their city look bad by posting vile racist garbage.
Yeah, Philly fans threw snowballs at Santa. in 1968. Two football stadiums ago. Things possibly may have changed since then.
NHL.com's Dan Rosen had the Penguins beating Vancouver for the Stanley Cup with Marc-Andre Fleury being the series MVP.
While I basically agree with you, I think we should keep in mind that we're talking about completely different "customers" for these procedures. The tube is for someone who just wants to fit into a wedding dress and wants a quick fix. The surgery is for someone who needs a triple-digit weight loss and has not been able to lose weight by traditional means. In the former case, there is no medical need. In the latter case, it may save someone's life. However, I also think that some people who get these surgeries do so prematurely, that there are other approaches that they should try before resorting to such a major step.

True... they'll do just as well on a ketogenic diet for the same 10 days.

Well I am sure we all would wish that we didn't have to...

Where does one begin? Should people give up because of the grim conclusions of some squirrely research? Is it false hope to find people who are successful at keeping weight off for the long term and to possibly have others try doing what they are doing?

Thank you for this insightful response to The Fat Trap. I'm not quite ready for maintenance yet as I'm only halfway to my (110 lb) weight loss goal... and probably should lose another 15 lbs or so on top of that once I get there. But it has been dogging me a little bit, as to what on earth I am going to do to maintain once I get there. Since I have been successful at losing weight before, but never was successful for long at keeping it off.
