Relating so much. Especially: "I love him dearly, but I am not blind to his social inadequacies."
In some strange way you have to appreciate Max's logic that it's fun when the boy chases him!
Hey fatty-pants!
As I have said before, Max is doing so super well developmentally. He has made major progress in the last year or so. After refusing to pick up a pencil and draw anything, lately he has been writing things and drawing pictures. Today he came to me with a picture of a donkey he had drawn (it wa...
Wow, I don't know how you put up with that. What kind of person puts a flat item in a round bottomed container?
Failing at the Tupperware system.
As some of you might know, I have been trying to train my husband on the Towel System for more than 15 years. With little to zero success. This failure has been a source of great dismay to me, but I am trying to live with the pain. However, there is another, less common failure that I don't of...
ooh, so cool! username: scherre.

Spoonflower Gift Wrap Giveaway
I have a dear friend who about this time every year begins gloating that not only does she have all her Christmas shopping done, she's made major headway wrapping everything, too. She is one crazy organized individual but perhaps with Halloween behind us, it really is time to start wrapping ...
agree completely.. while there are lots of people sharing their stories and situations in an effort to broaden understanding that these are illnesses that require treatment like any other, we still have a long way to go before we get the same sort of acceptance as purely physical illnesses. thankyou for doing your part!
FYI - Being on antidepressants does not mean you are crazy / suicidal / incompetent / dysfunctional
Gah! I know I have posted about this before but I was reminded once again how fucked people's perceptions are of those of us who are on antidepressants. Yes, yes - I know. ADs are over prescribed. Yes, I also know that on the rare occasion they can be dangerous and have a worsening affect (Ex...
btw, if blog comments are moderated - which I hope they are, otherwise they are disappearing into the internet - it would be nice to have a message to that effect after posting so that people are not left wondering if the comment has been moderated or eaten ;)
A puzzling theme for a fabric design contest? See if you can figure out the winner
In yet another attempt to baffle (and thus provoke) the creative impulses of our textile-loving community of designers, our theme this week was fabric designs inspired by puzzles. Have a go at picking out your favorites and we'll announce the winner next Thursday. Vote For Your Favorite Puzzle...
Dear Spoonflower, I would really like it if on the contest voting page you could be shown a summary/confirmation of which fabrics have been selected once you have reached the end of the list but before you submit your votes to be saved. Sometimes when I have opened a fabric swatch up to view bigger in order to decide if I like it or not, it ends up not getting selected properly and there's no way to tell until after my votes are already saved.
Also, an option somewhere to choose a default setting for votes to be either public or private would be handy. I usually make my votes public because I like to compare with my spoonflower friends which fabrics we have each liked and it is annoying to have to remember to change it each time.
Another thing that would be nice is if on the pages showing votes for past contests it would show that a particular fabric came 7/234 or 65/122 for example. It would be nice to see the result for the fabrics I chose without having to find the relevant blog post and search it manually.
I hope my comments/suggestions don't sound too whiny - I really do enjoy looking at all the entries and voting on the ones that interest me.
Regards, scherre - often-time voter but thus far too much of a procrastinator to have been an entrant.
