I like that you brought up the idea of HR being a department of interest in social media in organizations. Very forward thinking! I think we're already seeing a strong shift in the idea that social media is just for the marketing department, with much more buy-in from customer service, sales and support teams. I see this change being reflected in the the integrations on some of the CRM type tools we have on oneforty. However, people rarely bring HR into that conversation. I'd be interested to see a CoTweet LinkedIn integration or some type of development that serves that department in the future. I also go to startupish events because I like hanging out with passionate young minds like myself. This stuff is fun! Recently while cruising through the aisles of Stop n' Shop, I made an impulse purchase of the fat free Jello chocolate puddling. I thought, "Awesome! I can get my chocolate fix, only 100 calories at a time." Over the course of about a week, I had about one pudding cup a day. We're missing out on our mid-day break! Today, an article in the LA Times highlighted the results of a Career Builder survey with 44% of respondents saying they gained weight at their current jobs. Stress was noted as a contributing factor. The article also pointed out that only 9% of employees use their lunch hours to exercise. Now rounding out my first year as a full-time desk jockey, a child of the public relations school of workaholism, I'm just impressed when people actually take lunch breaks. I saw a great piece on Mashable yesterday that begs the question: How many calories do you burn while using Twitter? Want to find out? Check out a fun Twitter application called TweetCalories, which shows how many calories you burned over the last 24 hours by Tweeting. I didn't Tweet too much over the weekend, so I only scorched a measly 2.06 calories. I think you burn more calories sneezing. I might Google that. A friend of mine recently made me aware of a new diet her friends were trying: The Chia Seed Diet. As in...Chia Pets? Huh?At first blush, I thought this was some ridiculous diet hoax championed by Skinny Bitch crazies who Bible-thump "portion control methods" like...laxatives. Short post - just had to make you aware of something cool I just discovered. I'm a little embarrassed about the "just discovered" component because I've been a Comcast customer for nearly a year now...I'm clearly slacking on my TV watching. Anyway, if you go to the On Demand menu, go to Exercise TV and at your finger tips is a wide array of workout choices. They even include some of Jillian Michaels' workouts. Thanks so much for reading, Dee Dee! I also had to do yoga at school because we had to have gym credits so I took yoga for a semester. I still didn't like it! I'll check out Mandy Ingber though. I recently discovered that you can get workouts On Demand through Comcast so I am going to also try those. It'll be fun!

You grab a stack of chocolate chip cookies on your way out of the office potluck party. You also grab a quick photo of your snack with your iPhone. If you were using PhotoCalorie, the free iPhone application could generate some feedback, letting you know how each cookie had roughly 100 calories - so your snack ran you around 400 calories in total. This is a short post. I can't remember which restaurant I used to push this wine at, but I remember that it was usually a successful sale because I think people could always sense my genuine enthusiasm in my review. I'm still a wine newb, but in my opinion this is a "bigger" wine with a full-bodied taste and an almost smoky smell. It's still smooth though. This could so be me at the BC Reservoir. From reading this blog, you may think that I have all the right healthy habits and that I never have trouble getting motivated to work out. But trust me, I'm a fitness fail whale from time to time just like the other kids. My fitness fail is pushing myself too hard and not getting enough rest when I'm injured. Why is this a problem?
