Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. Once again I am using the Floral Friendship set from Gina K that I bought with my gift certificate from a challenge I won at Time Out. I just love this set. For tonight's card I paired it with a stencil I made from the Outline Heart die from Waffle Flower. Here's a sneak peek: I must admit when I first saw these colors I wasn't sure of them but, when I pulled out my Copic Markers to match the colors... Continue reading

Happy Friday. It's another INSPO challenge across at FestiveFriday this week and we are celebrating a day I can absolutely get behind! For my card I used the Cheers set from Pinkfresh Studio. Here's a sneak peek: And here is our INSPO list for this week. As a reminder, you don't have to follow the holiday theme for our challenge. You just need to choose at least 3 items from our INSPO list and include those in your project. For my card, I stamped, used the matching stencils to color the elements and then die-cut and arranged them. For the... Continue reading

Happy Thursday. It is my absolute pleasure to join the fabulously talented team across at Time Out for their challenge #288. I entered their challenge back in March with this card and was chosen as the winner for that week. As part of that, I was lucky enough to win a gift certificate to Gina K - you'll be seeing those cards soon - and also a spot as a Guest Designer for their challenge #288. I recently purchased the fun Space Friends by Simon Hurley and decided it was THE perfect set for the Time Out Challenge. Here's a... Continue reading

Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week - and it's a fun theme! The theme inspired me to bring out an old stamp set from Alexandra Renke and pair it with a brand new stencil called Two Step Chevron from Waffle Flower. Here's a sneak peek: Oh and here's the theme! So, my something old was the tea themed stamp set from Alexandra Renke. I stamped the background image of rosehips and then stamped and fussy cut the teapot and mug. The little teabag was a die, so I cut that out... Continue reading

Happy Saturday It's the fabulous Ceal's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and her code word inspired me to bring out a very old set from The Greetery called Pinwheel Party. As it is a clean and simple challenge, I kept it just that. A single image and a sentiment! Here's a sneak peek: And here is Ceal's code word for our challenge: I used the Pinwheel Party Stencils and matching dies to create the pinwheel. The sentiment was heat set with both gold and silver embossing powders to add a little interest. I popped the... Continue reading

Happy Thursday. I have a quick post for you tonight using a new set from a crafty company that is brand new to me. The set is called Sakura Blossom Meraki Motif by Crafty Meraki. A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Jennifer McGuire - seriously, it was like getting an email from royalty! Jennifer let me know that my name had been selected to receive one of the Crafty boxes that she sells for charity throughout the year. I'd forgotten that I had even put my name down on the list way back when! Anyway, I... Continue reading

Happy Wednesday. I'm playing along with the new sketch across at Atlantic Hearts Sketches this week. I had such fun working with this sketch and pulled out a very old set from The Greetery called Sketchbook Roses. It's one of those sets that manages to survive every purge of my crafting goodies:-) Here's a sneak peek: I paired the image with some old SU DSP and a envelope die from Pinkfresh Studio that I got as part of a crafting event. I actually created two different versions. This brighter, deeper color with the black outline and a much softer, more... Continue reading

Happy Sunday Oh... I know you are feeling a little touch of de ja vu! Because you saw this same set used on a card for Freshly Made that appeared on my blog yesterday! Today's card is for the fabulous sketch created by our wonderful Claire. Well, another day, another challenge - and the same colors :-). I just love this image from Floral Friendship and don't seem to be able to quite get enough of it! Today's card is another clean and simple use of this great set. Here's a sneak peek: For today's card I used both the... Continue reading

Happy Saturday. It's a twofer day today! I don't generally do this, but I have two separate cards for two different challenges to share with you today - both really clean and simple. One features the Brew-tiful Day stamp set, 2 dies from Alexandra Renke and some DSP from Stampin' Up! The second card features a set that I got as part of my prize for being chosen as the card of the challenge across at Time Out. It's a fabulous set called Floral Friendship. Here's a sneak peek of my first card - starting with my Brew-tiful Day card... Continue reading

Happy Friday. It's another INSPO list challenge across at Festive Friday this week and we are celebrating a somewhat popular sport :-). As I don't play that particular sport, I used three different items from our INSPO list to create my card using the Cat-i-tude set from Waffle Flower. Here's a sneak peek: And here is our challenge for this coming two week challenge: I used a filmstrip die from Alexandra Renke for my focal layer and some of the cats from the Cat-i-tude die set from Waffle Flower to create the photos. The sentiments are from Here's my full... Continue reading

Happy Sunday and Happy Easter to all those who celebrate. It's the fabulous Elizabeth's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's clean and simple week. Well, my card is sorta clean and simple in that it has lots of white space, but with a twist! I only had one set that would be appropriate for this challenge, so I had to use it :-). I decided to make a shaker card and make it something other than an Easter card. I don't often do shakers, but I had some wonderfully feminine shaker bits that I wanted... Continue reading

Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Nancy's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and she has a fun code word for us. Now, when I saw this I was digging around in my supplies looking for a star shaped die and then decided to go in a different direction. I used a set of dies called Seashells from Waffle Flower nad paired it with a set I got from the Create and Connect that Pinkfresh Studio ran in February called Butterflies in a Cloche. I didn't use the butterflies, but I did use the cloche. Here's a sneak peek:... Continue reading

Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Stef's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week! I decided to play with my Postal Collage set from Waffle Flower and this time I used the Beach Days stencil. I mean... we are close to summer, right? Maybe not here in Mn where it is still pretty chilly, but the colors on Stef's challenge just made me think of summer at the beach :-) I used the Postal Collage set and instead of breaking it up, which is what I normally do, I kept it together to create several... Happy Friday. It's another INSPO list challenge across at Festive Friday this week and we are celebrating one of my favorite days. The INSPO list inspired me to bring out a piece of old speciality card stock - one I swear I have had for over a decade and pair it with a couple of items from Waffle Flower called Simple Bookcase, Catitude dies and Catalog stamps. Here's a sneak peek: Oh... you might have noticed a little black and white cat... well, that's based on our old man Charlie. He's nearly 17 and still causes chaos in the house... Continue reading

Happy Wednesday. I have a clean and simple card for you today made using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. I love this sketch, it's perfect to showcase some great DSP, or a more clean and simple design like mine. I used the Gina K Floral Friendship set and some simple colors, a blue/grey, yellow and a pop of orange. Here's a sneak peek: And here's the sketch for AHSC this week: I began my card by creating the vertical elements using my brick wall stencil and some blue and yellow inks. I then stamped and die-cut the floral image using... Continue reading

Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Jan's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week. Jan couldn't have chosen a theme that is more perfect or me! It was also the perfect excuse to take out a piece of speciality paper that I have been saving for YEARS. Here's a sneak peek: And here's our challenge badge for this week: This card was super easy to put together. I pulled out the piece of speciality DSP that came from a very old pack from Stampin' Up! and adhered it to a card base that I cut... Continue reading

Happy Saturday. Well, I couldn't resist the challenge across at Time Out this week. The challenge is to create a card based on your favorite movie. Well, my favorite Christmas movie is Bridget Jones's Diary. Yeah.... don't judge me... I just can't help myself. Only Colin Firth could look that gorgeous in a silly Christmas jumper! Honestly, it doesn't feel like Christmas until we've watched BJD! So, now that you know the theme, it's no surprise that I brought out my Open Book die from Waffle Flower again. I've been wanting to make a card for a friend who is... Continue reading

Happy Saturday. It's another clean and simple challenge across at Addicted to CAS this week and Melanie has chosen a perfectly timed code word for us. I used a set called Bunny Ears from Waffle Flower for my card. Here's a sneak peek: And here's Melanie's code word: I began by die-cutting and then coloring the image with my Copic markers. I added some flowers to the bunny ears from a Spellbinders to add a little festive fun. I popped up the floppy ear tip with a foam dot and added a couple of white highlights. I then backed the... Happy Friday. I finally had some time to play along with some challenges this week and today's card is for Freshly Made Sketches #680. Narelle's sketch called for something nice and clean and when I saw the layout, I immediately thought of the Feather Pen set from Waffle Flower. I decided to pair it with a gorgeous sentment set I am absolutely in love with called Scripted Sentiments from The Greetery. Here's a sneak peek: Oh.... it's pink :-) I'm beginning to think I might need an intervention. I seem to have made a lot of cards with pink it... Continue reading

Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's tic-tac-toe week! I had a lot of fun playing with the Wildflower Bouquet set from Pinkfresh Studio again. I just love these florals and when I saw the tic-tac-toe board I knew it HAD to be THAT set that I used - again! Here's a sneak peek: I also used a coverplate die from Pinkfresh Studio called Ornate Medallions. Here's LeAnne's tic-tac-toe board: For my card I went straight down the left hand column: Flowers, Diecut and Lavender. I began by die cutting... Continue reading

Happy Friday. It's another INSPO list across at Festive Friday this week and we are celebrating Easter. I was inspired to use the Spring Breeze Postal Collage stencils and dies from Waffle Flower. As a reminder, our INSPO list is there for your inspiration and you do not have to celebrate the theme. For this card I used the INSPO list and not the theme. Here's a sneak peek of my card: Such pretty spring colors! Here's our INSPO list: I stenciled the images with the different spring colors and die-cut them using the matching Postal Collage die. I cut... Continue reading

Happy Tuesday. I saw a great challenge across at Cupcake Inspirations today and decided I was going to play along. I mean... when you see the prompt for the challenge, you will know why I just couldn't resist it! I used the Waffle Flower Open Book die set again. I really think this is one of the freshest dies around. I paired it with the Open Book Floral Stencil which I used with very pale pinks, blues and greens. I paired it with the Waffle Flower Script Texture stamp set. Here's a sneak peek: And here's the challenge from Cupcake... Continue reading

Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was relaxing and laid back and we managed to get a couple of things accomplished around the house, not least of which was me making a huge indent in going through my crafting stash, sorting and purging. I like to do that every year around this time. As I was somewhat organized today, I was able to play along with the latest challenge across at Atlantic Hearts Sketch. I had absolutely NO idea what I was going to do with this sketch until I saw an old stamp and... Continue reading

Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week. Ann's sketch inspired me to bring out one of my favorite all time stamp sets. It's been with me for years and has survived my 2x yearly purge of crafting goodies. I love using the Cozy Cup set from The Greetery - it's perfect for any time of the year and was just perfect for Ann's sketch. Here's a sneak peek: Ah... and yes, it's pink!!!! And here is Ann's sketch I stamped and die-cut the coffee cup and used some... Continue reading

Happy Saturday. It's another clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS this week and our hostess, Helen, has chosen a fun code word for us. I chose to use an old frame die from My Favorite Things and pair it with a new set of dies from Waffle Flower called Cat-i-tude and some accompaniments from Shelves Additions. Here's a sneak peek: Here's our code word for this week: I had such fun creating these three little scenes. I used an old brick stencil for the background of each one and diecut the kitties in black card stock. Anyone with... Continue reading
