Congrats on all this fabulous news!! I'm really excited for you and can't wait to see the fabric line and hear more about the book.
My absolute favorite fabric from my stash is a bit of vintage cotton that I've been holding onto for over 4 years. I used most of it up on little projects here and there so it's been spread out wide, but the last bit remains for a someday project that is just fitting. It's a blue/green/aqua print with a bit of a paisley feel, but mostly just floral. It's charming and perfect in every way.
Supercali-fabric-listicexpialidocious!
**Comments Closed** Keep an eye out for the winner announcement! ^_^ Hello all! Long time no see. I hope all is well with you. I've been busy, busy, busy with my wee ones, little Matthew especially. As you some of have seen he is doing tremendously! Such a healthy little chunky bundle of l...
Was just thinking about you the other day and missing hearing about the hens.
Health issues are never fun. I'm glad to hear that things are looking up though!!
whoa nellie!
Where do I start? June has come and gone. July is here and summer is in full swing. What started out as a typical start to summer quickly changed to an extended hospital stay for Gordy. Let me start by saying that things are much better these days compared to a month ago. It was scary, heart...
Beautiful tulips! Mine are about to burst open... almost a full month earlier than last year. I hope they hold on a little longer as I was planning to cut most of them for the wedding.
This year it has been all about the grass. The perennials are in just the right spots so my attention is swayed to the patchy grass spots and bits that need fixing. I did the ping-pong dance yesterday between rainfalls. It was so relaxing to just be outside.
spring in color
Spring is coming in fast this year. We've had beautiful weather to boot so once I get outside I have no less than 5 projects going on at the same time. I start in one area that leads me to another and then I can't find my pruners so I go off looking for that in another garden that reminds me I...

Great Photos. Pan pizza sounds wonderful.
5 cents
Or how about 5 sense(s)? These are what my 5 senses are enjoying in February. tasting :: last summer's strawberries on the world's best pancakes seeing :: tangled together = barb wire + old grapevine hearing :: birds at the feeder (old enamel lids make great hanging bird feeders) ...
What a beautiful idea. I'm in.
Soulemama Sponsor ~ UNRAVELLING ~
Since Sponsorship began here nearly two years ago, I've had the pleasure of getting to know the owners, teachers, and shopkeepers who grace the sidebar here at SouleMama. I've been inspired by the way they run their businesses, live their lives, and value their families too. Today, you'll notic...
I had no idea making vanilla extract was so simple. Any tips for finding cute bottles to put it in?
vodka, beans, and love
So after my last post I was thinking that there's probably going to be a whole new fad started this winter. I can just picture all those knitting needles clicking now. It could be marketed as a simple, fast and fun project that will provide years of warmth and entertainment! Forget knitting t...
What a *thoughtful* and *practical* gift!! LOVE IT.
{ warm }
With those frigid temps we've been experiencing over the past week I couldn't help but think of my sister. For Christmas, she received a very thoughtful gift from the middle-sister. It was obvious that middle-sister was concerned about her younger-sister's well-being in these cold Minnesot...
"you go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different"
Now THAT is exactly the phrase I've been looking for to describe my love for the first snowfall. It truly is magical and I'm in love with cold Minnesota winters once again. If only that feeling would last longer!!
snowfall
I love your suitcase. As a child I would have been so mesmerized by a collection like that. In the past years I haven't been into Christmas music much, but your suitcase makes me want to download a whole play list full.
arriving in style
Look what arrived today! One might wonder what this lovely piece of fine vintage luggage could possibly hold. Money for a rainy day? Treasured family jewels? Long, lost love letters? No... no. So I opened it. When, what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a suitcase full of Christmas music...
You're not alone in the "worlds slowest painter" category. John painted circles around me when we were painting my studio. And the sad part is that he makes less of a mess than I do too.
Haven't seen that movie yet, but we did treat ourselves to Couples Retreat this weekend. It wasn't as funny as the previews made it look and really turned out to be cheesy. Wasn't bad, but I wouldn't recommend spending money on it.
spicy
{ pumpkin pie spice + dried apple slices = nonstop apple snacking } How else did I spice up my life this weekend? Well, let's see it all started late last week with a small dent in the window washing department. I've come to the conclusion that we simply have too many windows in this house....
Congrats Deb! Isn't it wonderful to have chronicled that year? Now you'll have it to remember for all time.
Thanks for sharing your time with us... it's fun to know that there are others who share in lifes simple delights.
Cheers!!

Thanks so much for not taking my comment the wrong way... I was a little worried to even post it as I didn't want you or anyone else to take offense.
I have to agree that stevia probably isn't the perfect answer... it's new and not a ton is known about it. And of course once those soda companies get their hands in the process it will be a whole new thing completely.
I guess this is just a reminder that nature is always best.
Hey Kool-Aid!! New title: Are artificial sweeteners safe for children?
Remember those commercials? Life was so simple back then. Our parents didn't know that a ton of sugar was not so good. But then again we probably just burned it all off because we ran around outside all day every day. We don't drink soda in our house. I used to be a Diet Pepsi girl ...
Please don't hate me, but I have to share. Splenda (also known as sucralose) is actually much more dangerous than raw sugar. Many people are misinformed because marketing companies do a good job of pushing that it's a healthy alternative. The truth is that it is toxic to the body. I'd recommend stevia if you are opposed to sugar. It's a new product, but is a natural sweetener. Each family has the right to choose for themselves, but I hope that they are also fully informed. Again sorry to rain on your post!!
