4th of July Celebration
Today I'm Getting Patriotic by Celebrating the 4th of July with this week's Sentimental Sundays theme. I love the shades of Red, White & Blue in the We R Memory Keepers Yankee Doodles Collection. I trimmed the 6" paper in the middle, so I could have stars around the border of each side. I al...
Plum Cricut Expression
I will be entering the year 2011 with this brand new Plum Cricut Expression...thanks to Santa! Isn't it pretty? It came with 2 cool exclusive cartridges... As a Christmas present to myself I added these 2 cartridges to my collection from a great sale at Michael's... Now, if I could just get rid of this nasty cold I've managed to catch, I could have some fun. I hope to be sharing lots of fun creations with you in 2011! Continue reading

Monochromatic and a Little Journaling
For the Everyday Inspiration Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts this month we were to use a monochromatic color scheme on our layout. Sandie, who hosts our Scrapbooking Your Heritage Challenge, challenged us to add some journaling to our pages. Journaling has never been one of my strong points but I managed to crank out a few lines for this layout. Bazzill card stock DCWV die-cut patterned paper Felt Fusion by Oriental Trading Craft Ink by Stampin' Up!- Ruby Red, Garden Green Memento Ink- Cottage Ivy VersaMagic Ink- Red Magic Ippity by Unity- journaling block stamp, "The Story" stamp Continue reading

From the Pantry 01
I created this page for the "From the Pantry" challenge at Christian Paper Crafts. The idea behind this challenge is to get you using the supplies you already have in your scrapbook stash. A recipe of supplies is posted and you create your page using all of the required ingredients. You can add to the recipe but you can't take away from it. Here is the recipe: 1 sheet of cardstock 3 sheets of patterned paper 3-5 butterflies- these can be felt, chipboard, die-cut, stickers, or stamped ric-rac in the size, amount, & color of your choice (you may substitute... Sweet Stop & Bible Verse Thursday
Last Thursday our Bible Verse Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts was "anything that glitters". I used that along with this sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch blog to inspire today's project. I created a 6x6 scripture page for a gift album that I am working on. I used Vintage Photo Distress Stickles by Tim Holtz for the glittery effect on the eagle's feathers. The Distress Stickles are nice because they add just the right amount of shine without being too shimmery. The stamp set used here is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. All the paper, cardstock, & ink is from... Continue reading
