Fears of a Single Mom & Dating
It's been over 7-years since I've last had a serious relationship, believe it or not. Wow....just writing that gave me that weird feeling in the pit of my stomach that everyone talks about when they experience a weird moment, or... Continue reading

Have You Signed Oprah's "No Phone Zone" Pledge Yet?
Have you signed Oprah's "No Phone Zone" pledge yet? I know I did right after watcing the episode that started the whole movement on what is now known as one of "America's most dangerous obsessions".What was even more shocking was... Continue reading

I love Sandra Bullock and read that interview. Honestly I'm thinking its' not that she really is okay with the fact that she only gets three hours of sleep, I think its' just the excitement of finally having the joy she's always dreamed of. She waited a very long time to adopt (five years from what I read) and I think she's just so happy and grateful for finally having a child she can call her own.
I know personally I can not function very well if I'm sleep deprived and I can't imagine life on three hours of sleep either but have been functioning lately on 4 to 5 hours of sleep. With developing a television project, writing a book and being a single mom, my biggest complaint is that there are not enough hours in the day to get things done. I'm sure all moms feel that way. lol Sometimes I wish that sleep wasn't a necessity but it is.
Now that I work from home full time, I look forward to the occasional nap times I can take advantage of if my work load for the day isn't crazy. I guess I should take advantage of that as much as possible since I do plan on having more children one day and can't imagine being able to take advantage of naptimes with three or four kids. :)
Great article! :)
Sleep, My Long-lost Friend
I was just reading an article in the doctor's office about Sandra Bullock and her new baby in People magazine and was struck by how she cheerily glossed over her 3 hours of sleep and was amazed at how little sleep one needed. Ok, either she's just trying to put a positive spin on it, she's lo...
Oh I definitely will be watching as well. Although a small article in a US weekly magazine said that the season is quite boring with not much excitement. But I'm looking forward to seeing how the woman interact with Danielle on the show after that whole explosion the first season with that book and all.
Caroline Mazzo is also one of my favorites on the NJ show because she's all about family and is very protective of those she loves. I am the same exact way with mine.
The girls are back in town
Oh. My. Gawd. It's been nearly a year since the season finale of the Real Housewives of New Jersey and I couldn't be more thrilled that the ladies are back for season two. For those of you who missed it, here's a recap. Jacqueline's heartbreaking battle with infertility ended joyfully wit...
Theta I was really touched by your post. I'm glad you're surrounded by support from family and friends. It's through the rough times that you realize who your true friends are and it is obvious that you have wonderful friends who care about you and your family. I thankfully never had to endure the stress & heartbreak of watching a loved one battling cancer but did have to live through months of helping take care of my father 8 years ago when he suffered a massive stroke that left him paralyzed on the left side for a year and unable to speak for 4 months. It was horrible and when I think about those memories I get the chills down my back. I was only in high school then...a junior. Having to come home right after schoool to take over so my mother can get a break was hard for someone who was supposed to be enjoying her high school years with friends.
Thankfully my father is still with us today, even though he's not the same and never will be, but knowing that my little girl is growing up with a grandfather is something I am so grateful for. I'll keep you and your family in prayers and stay strong Theta! It seems like you're doing the best that you can and that's all you or anyone can do in a situation like this. I'm sure you're doing great! Take care and God Bless:)
Angels in my Kitchen
She is still small enough to want to be carried, my beautiful little daughter. I pick her up and carry her home from the bus stop, burying my face in her mop of straight blond hair. I breathe in deeply; she smells good -- a mixture of organic hair-detangler, sweet apple juice and the peanut but...
