We've declared 2013 "The Year of the Bigfoot." Thanks for all the videos and comments in 2012. We're anticipating 2013 to be an even bigger year, plus soon we will announce our nominees for Bigfoot Researcher of the year. Here's news on YahooThttp://news.yahoo.com/bigfoot-researchers-declare-2013-bigfoot-105645419.html Continue reading

The ancestors of monkeys, apes and humans may have originated in Asia and not Africa as often thought, new fossils suggest. And is it possible Bigfoot came from Asia and is actually our distant relative? The origin of anthropoids — the simians, or "higher primates," which include monkeys, apes and humans — has been debated for decades among scientists. Although fossils unearthed in Egypt have long suggested that Africa was the cradle for anthropoids, other bones revealed in the last 15 years or so raised the possibility that Asia may be their birthplace. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47679951/ns/technology_and_science-science/#.T89K6rBYt2A Continue reading

I had lunch yersterday with Jack Barnes, the lead researcher from Facebook/FindBigfoot and we discussed his recent expedition across the Pacific Northwest in an RV with other researchers from his Facebook page. I already knew they hadn't captured the footage of Bigfoot that they had hoped for. Despite having more than a dozen thermal cameras (one of which was $30,000 and donated byFLIR the inventors of high-tech thermal imaging) the team came away with no convincing footage. However, there were several lessons that Jack shared with me that are worth repeating to my readers here on Yahoo! Lessons Learned from... Continue reading

Researchers from www.facebook/findbigfoot attempt to create the "Sobe Bomb" Bigfoot incident while on their recent expedition across the pacific Northwest. Below is the original footage -- watch for the Bigfoot in the background. To read about this recreation, go to Facebook/findbigfoot. Continue reading

This analysis is pretty darn good. A lot of Fans of the www.facebook/findbigfoot page have mixed views of this footage -- some like it, others not-so-much, but here Jack Barnes gives us his insights. Continue reading

You've seen the pictures and videos of Bigfoot, and we admit sometimes they are pretty blurry -- or what Bigfoot enthusiasts call "blogsquatch" images. Have ever heard a Bigfoot? Now that is a sound that will make the hair on your neck stand on end. Over the years, several Bigfoot researchers have recorded audio of Bigfoots howling in the night. Here's a compilation video from our www.facebook.com/findbigfoot. Continue reading

Totally not relevent...
If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you know there are numerous reports you can read at the Bigfoot Research Organization (BFRO) website. Those reports are a treasure trove of eyewitness accounts and they're good reading. Bigfoot Eyewitness Reports as Streaming Audio Recently I began reporting for www.facebook.com/findbigfoot, the Bigfoot research online social community. We are using a series of audio interviews with people who have seen Bigfoot. Reading about an encounter is one thing, but to listen to the person relive the experience takes it another level. To listen to the Bigfoot interview. The first interview posted is with a man... Continue reading

When it comes to Bigfoot research one can't ignore that strange feeling that they're being watched or followed in the forest. Many of us know that Bigfoots "own the forest" and they see you coming long;before you see them. That's why they have the advantage in the "spy vs spy" game of Bigfoot research. Nobody describes this better than Tom Powell (ThomSquatch) in is blog where he describes his own experience tracking Bigfoot and how much of it is really nothing more than 'intelligence gathering'. His blog post reminds me of experiences I have had in the forests and also... Continue reading

Three men who were filming an episode of "Swamp Loggers" came across what could be Bigfoot nest with unusual stick structures and possible Bigfoot scat. The men took photographs of the nest, not really sure what they were looking at. Once the episode of Swamp Loggers aired on TV a viewer happened to spot what might be two Bigfoots and a baby Bigfoot staring back at the loggers through the forest. At the time of the filming the loggers had no idea they were being watched and they had no idea that they captured it on video. Here's a break... Continue reading

This was submitted by one of our Facebook fans who wanted an analysis and commentary of this trail camera footage. In our experience, Bigfoots somehow avoid trail cams, because they can probably detect the infrared light. In this video footage, something very large walks just outside the camera range and appears to be carrying something, possibly a salt lick left for deer. Continue reading

This past weekend I as on a bigfoot expedtion with with a friend of mine where we met a family livingin the upper Midwest of the U. S. that as had several sightings of two different Bigfoots / Sasquatches this past year. The most recent sighting was by their 4-year-old son just days before our expedition. A Description of the Bigfoot Sighting The boy was sitting in a pickup truck at dusk while his father was tending to a fire of burning brush at the back of their farm property, when the boy shouted, "There's a man over there!" The... Continue reading

I'm excited about an upcoming Bigfoot expedition I will be attending soon with the BFRO in the northern region of the U.S. I always enjoy doing actual field research in addition to blogging about Bigfoot. What I'm also curious about is an invitation I recently received from a Bigfoot researcher who wants to load a gun and shoot a Bigfoot in the name of science. And he's invited me to tag along. Is this guy crazy? Should I tag along with a trigger-happy Bigfoot enthusiast? You might be surprised to know that a small minority of Bigfoot researchers carry out... Continue reading

You can meet a lot of unique people while doing Bigfoot research. Some people create hoaxes, others are just out to make a buck, and as the country song says "....God is great, beer is good and people are crazy." When I weed through it all I come across some websites and Bigfoot research teams that seem to be regular people doing interesting things. The research team from Squatch Investigations of the Rockies (SIR) has a pretty good website with helpful information and photos of prints, stick structures and even a hand print on their truck. They've also had experiences... Continue reading

Bigfoot videos are a dime a dozen. You can find thousands of them on Youtube and type in the search "Bigfoot videos" on Google and you'll get more the 1,500,000 results. The question I keep getting from readers is, "Where are the best videos that actually prove Bigfoot exists?" Well, there's actually a list of the best Bigfoot sightings and it includes the Top 50 videos -- with detailed analysis of most videos. The researchers at www.facebook.com/findbigfoot have sifted through thousands of bad Bigfoot videos and claims of Bigfoot sightings and pulled togther only the best footage. Then they studied... If you're researching Bigfoot in the forest, one piece of evidence that's difficult to ignore are unusual stick structures. If you come across a trail with threes in a criss-cross pattern (sometimes called "Gaits" by researchers) then you're probably on the trail of a Bigfoot. Another form of stick structure is something more intricate that resembles a Tee Pee made of large tree branches --- sometimes too large for humans to move. I recently received a photograph from a researcher in Washington state who has become a Bigfoot enthusiast and she sent the this photo. This is a classic Bigfoot... Continue reading

It's Friday, or what I call "Bigfoot Friday" where I cover offbeat news about Bigfoot research or answer nagging questions from Bigfoot enthusiasts who send in emails. The nagging question of the day, which usually comes from skeptics: "Why is there still no good video footage of Bigfoot?" I usually give my stock answer that, in fact, there are hundreds of compelling videos on Youtube or even videos with analysis on www.facebook.com/findbigfoot. And I remind skeptics that beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc. And sometimes I link the person to the recent Michael Greene thermal images of... Continue reading

Bigfoot research takes on many faces, from university professors like Jeff Meldrum to your average Joe like me who spends weekends camping in the woods. Bigfoot research enthusiast Chris Noel (I've written about him recently) has upped his game and plans to shoot a documentary and he's seeking help from the Bigfoot community. The film we focus on Bigfoot Habituation Sites? What are Habituation Sites? Well, that's why Noel wants to shoot a film, to educate the world about backyard Bigfoots. How Bigfoot Research Needs Your Help Noel, who has put thousands of miles on his car driving to Bigfoot... Continue reading

I don't get a lot of fan mail about Bigfoot but when I do it's always interesting reading. I can't even count how many times I hear from people who think there's a connection between Bigfoot sightings and UFO sightings. I usually scratch my head with one of those, "Say what?!?" I'm assuming the people who believe in the connection are quite often Star Wars fans too. which makes me wonder if it isn't just wishful thinking that Bigfoot might be similar to Chewbacca, the Wookie character and loyal sidekick to Han Solo. Haven't we all wanted a tall hairy... Continue reading

In light of the recent case with "Mike" who was seeing too much in his backyard. This week we will be reposting the 15 real bigfoot videos from our "Top 50". We will conclude with what looks to be our most intersting backyard video, a young female BF that appears to run a pick up a baby BF. Might be a top 12 video when we are finished with our analysis. Certainly better than memorial day. www.facebook.com/findbigfoot Continue reading
