Very good observation.
Charles, As far as I know there were 3 cars used . A 2 door 68 Mercury in the pilot, which I do not know what happened to that car. The 2nd is the 68 four door Mercury that I wrote about, which the owner will not sell and the 3rd. This mid seventies Mercury is located in Hawaii and is being restored by the person who owns the 68 four door Mercury. The current owner is not interested in selling it either. Sorry, Jim
Thank you James for the additional information.

Buckskin is the closest color that GM had in the 70's and is my Firebirds factory color. The Light Topaz/Sierra Gold is the correct color for a Rockford Firebird. Sierra Gold was a 1965 Cadillac color by GM. The LT Topaz color that I have on this blog has all the paint codes to make this Rockford Color. These codes were made by using actual paint samples from two screen used Rockford Files Firebird. Lt Toppaz and sierra Gold are the same color. Thank you for the kind words.
