Hi Erica, I just saw your post and I thought I'd take a minute to write back. Life has been non-stop in the past few weeks! We just moved from Brookline to Salem last weekend and there are boxes everywhere. We put together most of the house, or at least... Continue reading

Hi Erica! Thinking back on yesterday, I keep shaking my head at how absurd my morning was. 10:00 am: On an one hour conference call through the speaker of my work phone. My right ankle is still swollen from twisting it on New Year's Eve, so I'm sitting on the... Continue reading

I love that I started this blog! I feel closer to you already:) Funny you should mention Lueisms. That was the first blog I started:)Take a look when you get a chance and please comment! The comments help keep me writing! You must have been talking to Ryan - he keeps saying it's not his fault too:) I will definitely be using my lifeline, along with my phone-a-friend, and a poll the audience. Although I won't be a millionaire by the end, at least I will keep some of my sanity. Well, one can hope, at least.

1. Having people offer me their seat on the subway. That's right! Get up! My round belly wins the seat in this college town! 2. Old ladies smiling at me asking, "Boy or Girl?" Me, smiling back, answering like I didn't speak English, "Yes." 3. Pregnancy glow - I think... Continue reading

Some comments from a conversation about the Great Spincter of Egypt: "Oh, there's a Great Spincter in Egypt. It's huge! Maybe 8 stories tall?" "It's on the sands in high temperatures; I wonder how it holds together?" "I think it has a goatee." __________ I repeat - Things that are... Continue reading

As compiled by my family and friends... In the past few weeks, as I've written more and more of these posts I have received texts, emails, and FB responses on other phrases I've missed. So, here's the list so no particular order: 1. Don't pop my balloon. (Think bubbles,... Continue reading

Inevitably at some point, I attempt to use a phrase and, in my mind, I'm smiling a very proud smile, as if to say, "Look what I've done! Yay!" I was one of those kids that would beam when a teacher verified I had an answer correct. I loved hearing... Continue reading

After a team meeting several years ago, the group was energized and ready to implement some changes. The project we were working on was going to mean some late nights and bad pizza to reach our aggressive deadline. Everyone was fully committed to the project and really thought that the... Fact: Siegfried was attacked by a tiger. Fact: Beyonce heard that Siegfried was attacked by a tiger. Fact: Beyonce has a song about Siegfried being attacked by a tiger. OK, maybe that last one isn't exactly true, but upon hearing Beyonce's "Beautiful Nightmare" song I seriously thought the lyrics went... Continue reading

Around Christmas time, maybe ten years ago, a friend and I were sitting on the couch chatting, having wine, and flipping through the channels until we finally landed on MTV. We weren't really paying attention to the program, but left the TV on anyway. At one point, I glanced over... Continue reading

I had just finished feeding him, gave him a solid burping and heard all the customary (and predictable!) grunting noises, so I moved in to diaper duty... Diaper? Check Butt cream? Check Wipes? Check Ready to go! Start cooing noises and random high-pitched baby conversation. (Who just finished eating? You... Continue reading

As companies are looking for feedback on their products and services, we consumers receive more and more surveys. On receipts, through emails, on websites, as pop-ups, through regular mail...Enough with the surveys already! Here's my commentary back to companies with an overall rating; I'll post a review of a product... Continue reading
