I have had my places confirmed for the BUPA Great North Run in Newcastle and for Run to the Beat in London, which will both take place at the end of September. This gives me roughly 3 months of training which I'm hoping should be good enough for me to be able to at least do a sub 2.30 time and hopefully a sub 2.15 time in at least one of the races. For several years now I have tried establishing and maintaining a blog but have failed woefully at each attempt. Similarly I have been trying to get myself a little more active over the past few years and have not, until very recently, been very successful at that. Of course I am by no means entirely successful now and I really am not the picture of perfect health but I have (I think/hope) begun the transformation from a sedentary lifestyle into a somewhat more active one.
