Oh Jacqueline, love love love that embroidery you're doing! Makes me want to get out my needle and thread! It seems like you're full of inspiration! That's good! Hugs to you!
Be merry
Hope your weekend was warm and merry. I was making rather merry during my week long holiday. Long mornings with nowhere to be, staying in my pajamas a little longer and taking my own sweet time eating every meal. Soup and yoga over the weekend added a lovely touch to the end of my holiday. I'v...
Love your studio!!!
studio spruce up
Somehow, while I was working away in the garden all summer, my studio turned into a dumping ground. How did this happen?? And now that it's time for me to step back in and get creative again...well, ugh, it was so un-motivating. So everything came out. A fresh coat of white paint went on wa...
This looks so scrumptious!
lace roses
Vintage lace is something that I find irresistible, some of it is used on journals and crafts and some for display. To keep it tidy, I like to roll up the yardages of old lace. Little bundles that look like flowers. How do you display your collections?
Love the name "withDRAWal"!
withDRAWal sketch book
This sketchbook named itself "withDRAWal" cheap paper, cheap sketchbook, cheap sketches the binding will probably break halfway through but that is what duct tape is for if the markers bleed through, I just staple several pages together and move on I like the name "the withDRAWal s...
I think your sketches are lovely - so uninhibited. It inspires me! Keep on sharing!
any bit of time will do
more from the withDRAWal sketchbook Someone emailed me asking how I could all this a sketchbook because the sketches were not all that good. This gave me a giggle because the whole purpose with this sketch-book is to do lots of bad art. For me, it is an exercise I use to loosen up. We all g...
Your children are gorgeous, Rebecca! It's nice to see how they've grown up. Time flies by so fast! I have those books - they're a keeper! :D
where are they now?
Many of you know me from way back when. From a couple of journaling/scrapbooking books I had out (wow! it seems so long ago). And from time to time, one of you will ask me about my 'cover' kids...what they're up to, how old are they... So I thought it might be fun to have a little 'where are t...
Your place must always be cheery! Love your flowers! How often do you get them?
Oh, the eye candy
I couldn't decide which photo to post today, so i picked one (well, make that two) of some of the purple around my little studio on the super warm day. 34 degrees, single layer, ice-cold tea. I always have fun stopping at the local florist over the weekend. I like Dahlias, and i'm noticing i r...
Oooh! My girls would LOVE that 'jungle' of yours!
It's a jungle out there...
Thankfully the gardner is coming tomorrow! and fortnightly thereafter. Crazy "lawn*" we have out there... *I am not sure one can actually call it a lawn, but it is green and lush... and it's huge, so that makes it a big weedy jungle for the kids. They love it. Well... my lovely sister Lee se...
You live in "headache city" too? Bummer isn't it? I think I'm the mayor there - lol! Hope you'll feel much better next week. Use this weekend to rejuvenate. :)
Baby s.m.i.l.e.
Signing off for the weekend with photos of this week's completed project. I've been feeling a little under the weather {headache city}, which kind of bums me out since i didn't get much craftiness done during the weekdays. You may remember the design from here. This is my first bib i made ...
Do you always have flowers in your house? I love it!
Pretty peach blooms
Happy monday friends. Can you believe October is right around the corner? Times flies... I have scattered pretty peach blooms around the little studio to distract me from the fact that my head felt like a bowling ball on saturday. It seemed to work a little. I hope you had a good weekend. ...
This is so cute, playful, and scrumptious!
a warm blanket for your baby
It took some time, but i'm finally done with this iPad cozy. You might recognize the fabric and design from here. It's a special order for a pair {iPhone and iPad} and i think it turned out quite lovely. Very vintage feel, if i do say so myself. I padded this cozy with a thick cotton batting a...

What a lovely portrait, J. The mister seems so sweet. What a perfect pair the two of you make!
I'm not a list person - although sometimes I feel that my life would be easier if I do make lists. I like salty and sweet together - lol! And I think I would go with dots over stripes as well. I love fragrant lotions and colognes and I collect designer perfumes but I'm allergic to them - lol! (I spray them on my clothes, just can't touch my skin.)
Have a wonderful, crafty day dear friend!
things I like
I wanted to do a self portrait when i found myself caught in a moment of wackiness. Instead of posting a photo displaying my messy hair and dark circles, i decided to show you this lovely portrait of me by the sweet Mister at home. I'm in the mood of de-lurk a bit here today. Here are some...
Your project and your garden are both lovely! I'm sure you can't wait to taste your produce :D
Something somewhat new.......
I finally finished this little book for a class at Paper Tales. I haven't set a day or time. But at least it's done. I was thinking as I looked at the calendar and saw July slip away with a bunch of obligations, that I could really get started on Halloween stuff if I so desired. ...
How scrumptious are these? :D
Handmade with love
...and plenty of it. Remember when i mentioned that my fancy wearables cuteness project is starting to take over around here? Well, here's proof. Meet Teddy and Lulu from Delectable by Su. A while ago i received a wonderful opportunity for a large commission to create fancy wearable cuteness ...
Hmmm, I don't think I've ever eaten poached eggs with salad before but I would sure love to try this - especially with spinach, prosciutto and goat cheese. Love them.
A Simple Salad
Growing up I was the pickiest eater. The only vegetable I'd eat was corn. I wouldn't touch anything with garlic or minced onion in it. There were times that out of desperation my parents would try to "force" me to eat a different vegetable like lima beans, not letting me leave the table unti...
I love the color purple and those flowers are definitely inspiring. Would love to have some of those in my space. They have such a deep hue.
And you're summer house is in Germany? Wow, that's going to be a big change when you move, huh?
uncovering the reason
Although the blog silence probably seems as though i've fallen down the rabbit hole, i promise i haven't ~ i have spent the last week and weekend completely absorbed in sewing and scheming. You know, the ones that take up the most room. I've been thinking a lot about inspiration. Where inspires ...
Love the journal - it's so dainty looking. And that garden - wow! We're also growing some tomatoes here. We tried growing watermelon but that didn't work too well. Ah, maybe next time again.
Hope you're feeling well today.
Ok....so this is what happens when I don't post for a week........
I end up with a lot to say....on many different subjects........ The reason I haven't post is that I had some minor surgery on Thursday which resulted in a 17 hour headache soon after from the anesthesia. It was quick procedure....the usual in and out. I got to thinking how the recovery ...
Love this color palette as well.

As the end of the school year approaches our schedules are filled with so many activities that I'm not sure if I can keep up. But I did manage to slow down a bit today and enjoy the perfect cup of coffee and make my "to do" list. I have this rule that I do not put more than 5 things on my li...
Oh Jacqueline! I'm so glad I met you in the ecourse. You are truly awesome. And I know how the thought of competition can sometimes cripple us but we just have to always remember that each of us is unique so each of us would always bring something different to the world. Yes, there IS room for all of us! Mwah! (Hope you're over your food poisoning!)

Yourself. The wave of energy in my life these days is riding with feelings of seriously inspired, very upbeat, a bit of overwhelm and quite a lot of reflection, but for some reason these feelings somehow falls together in a very acceptable pace. I can genuinely say i have "arrived" at a pace w...
I agree, your eye for photography is amazing! And those flowers will brighten any house. They're gorgeous. I love love love flowers too. I hope you'll feel better soon - food poisoning is never lovely. And hey, summer is about the time I start thinking about Christmas as well! :D

Hope your weekend was lovely. it was really warm here and although i meant to get out and run more errands, i mostly just stayed in and worked on my projects in my little studio. I didn't finish everything i set out to accomplish but overall the weekend was a success. Some of the highlights inclu...
