I'm not sure about that. It has a chance but not very good. one month of 300,000 means he will not sell another 300,000 in month #2. It will be significantly less. Most you sell is your first week because of hype and pre-orders. after that, buzz has to carry him and i'm not sure if his buzz is @ 200,000 next month. If he does go Gold, it will be a couple months later.
Lil Wayne Gets A Lil Boost, Joe Makes Smooth Landing In Top 10, DJ Drama Takes A Fall
In this week's Sales Wrap, Lil Wayne leads the pack at No. 6, R&B veteran Joe debuts within the Top 10 and DJ Drama takes a steep drop.
That joint with Ghostface was fire but that's the only song I liked from her. Ghostface is my #2 fav behind Nas. People forget about Heltah Skeltah, much respect. I used to listen to Heltah Skeltah and Smith-N-Wessun everyday going to school.

Rap mogul Russell Simmons is continuing to mesh hip-hop and politics after showing a demonstration at the Occupy Wall Street protest last week by revealing plans to put together a new movement.
Nas is the only rapper with the right to protest. He is the only one that stands for his principles. Remember when he turned down Heinken and then Dr Dre and Busta Rhymes did hip hop commercials promoting the beer.

Is this the same Russell who put out a "Rush Card" that had higher fees then the bank cards? The same Russell who pays himself for charity work?

do you know about Russell Simmons "Rush Card." Its a bank card that had higher fees then these banks they are protesting. Russell used his name to influence hip-hop and poor people to get one. Russell actually influenced another bank to do the same with the Kim Kardashian Card. Only problem, the Kim card got exposed while Russell got a free pass. Russell influence the same people they are protesting. How about the Rev Run sneakers that proceeds was to go to charity. When the charities called for the proceeds, Russell gave them less then promised. one excuse was he had to pay himself and Rev for doing the commercial promoting there sneakers. Russell is a business man at the end of the day trying to get money out of people. no different then the bank man.

Being broke living in a nice home with millions tucked under the mattress and constant million dollar deals is the blueprint, sign me in. I have no problem people calling me broke while I eat at the finest restaurants, best hotels, and traveling across the globe. Let them think I'm broke on kiddie hiphop websites.

Irv saved Def Jam. Def Jam was about to spread like Jelly when Murder Inc blew and gave life to a dieing record label. The three headed monster was Ja-Rule, DMX, and Jay-Z. Irv was responsible for Ja and DMX careers when they blew. Contrary to popular belief, it was the feds and not 50 that shut them down. Once the Feds got involved with the Irv and Supreme link, nobody wanted to go near Irv and Def Jam kicked them out. 50 then came out with a movie during a real Trail about the Irv, Supreme link. dry snitching at its worst.

Joe Budden still doing BET Cyphers? You about retirement age, you still a rookie. time to give it up. You won't see Nas or Jay in those cyphers. That should be left to the next generation. sit your old mixtape @ss down.

"I Met Motherf*cking Rakim Tonight & He Told Me He Wanna Do A Song"
Boston rapper Termanology has hinted at new music coming from Rakim by revealing the hip-hop pioneer's interest in collaborating on a record with him.
that the major problem right now. there is no old fashioned boxing anymore. I grew up on boxing. Loved it. then got tired of the bullsh!t of fighters ducking fighters and so-called pay days. It took me a little to get into MMA. but thats because I didn't know the fighters. once i did and saw knockouts that you won't see in boxing, i was a changed man. I'll be more worried about fighting someone who can throw a left, right, left kick, right kick, left elbow to bust your sh!t wide open then someone just throwing left right all day. Good boxing fights have become rare. In MMA, almost every night there is a knock out or someone catching an elbow to the face bleeding uncontrollably.

fake boxing? way better then boxing. First MMA doesn't baby fighters like boxing. You won't find an MMA fighter with 40 easy victories to pad his record like boxing does. There is a saying, "if you don't have any loses, you never fought anyone." take any boxers record, De La Hoya, Manny Pac, Mayweather, and they are littered with easy wins. Two, the best fight the best. they don't wait for pay days or wait until you build a boxers wins with easy fights to make him famous for PPV $. Guys like Mayweather and Roy Jones spent decades fighting nobodies. If boxing was MMA, Mayweather and Pac would had been fought.

Big L? don't even put him on that list. I was one of the very few people in NY that listened to Big L. I liked Big L but he was nowhere near that convo. He is a lot closer to Papoose then Big or Pun. Papoose even copied Big L's flow. both was in the game without any success for yrs. Both was self-proclaimed nice. I got to admit, Big L name has gotten more fame on sohh.com then when he was alive and he died before the internet popped off. I knew many heads from uptown that didn't even know who Big L was. I was trying to put them on. Hardly anyone has even heard of the Big Picture. I knew one dude that swore he knew Big L and was trying to get him a $6.50 per/hour job while L was screaming Flamboyant. I was the only one listening to him outside of 145th street and that's because I used to listened to Stretch and Papito. Big L being King of NY is just as silly as Pap being King

After raising eyebrows last week for crowning himself the "King of New York," Brooklyn rapper Papoose has further elaborated on his royal mixtape title.

Brooklyn rapper Papoose has never been afraid to boast about his lyrical skills, but has now taken the braggadocio a step further by crowing himself as the king of New York hip-hop.
I was fan when I first heard him on Kool G Rap's album. I had no idea who he was but killed that song, "I don't lift weights but I bench press a K9" how you fall off with no albums? dude ran out of raps.

he still nacirema dreaming. Pap used to be lyrical but fell off. most of his raps are slow and boring now. He can be lyrical but fake gangbanging slow raps has taken over his lyrical style. One minute he tries to be positive then next he is blood. Kay Slay used and abused Pap to where he doesn't mean anything in the NY hip hop scene anymore. after 20 something mixtapes (fell off around mixtape 12) he still can't get a deal.

He got mopped because he lied about his gangster. fab grabbed him by his hoody (money team member 50 confirmed) and Ray ran for the nearest studio to say he knocked fab out. lol. If I was a blood, Ray would get mopped for false flagging. After lying to millions, i would make him fight a false flagging blood rapper to get his street blood cred back.

this dude sold 12,000 copies of his album. He is irrelevant with no real fan base yet we still talk about him. I say he has a damn good publicist. Hip-Hop sites is like Reality TV. It has given birth and extended talentless careers while not reflecting true reality.
