Each bucket bag is lined with 2 inside pockets...........I only have 1 of the smaller bags with Halloween theme and 1 Christmas bag... the other 3 fabric bags are all different.....so all in all I have 10 bucket bags , 5 large quilted patched bags and 5 of the others all will be shipped to Waco along with a few more fold over bags, some more of the silk rag bracelets, paper buttons and a few odds and ends......so sorry I can't be there to see all of you but I know you will all have a great time.....Cindy always... It takes a while to get all of these quilted bits of quilts to look like it flows.....kind of like a jigsaw puzzle but a little more whimsical...........a lot of hand stitching goes into these but it's so much fun to see what you can come up with to make them look different and unique.........the 3rd photo I decided to add my salvation army punch needle gal and going with a blue theme....I think I have a couple salvation army red cross buttons I will add at the end.... these bucket bags below are some of my favorite fabric designs... This little project I started last year........I would just pick it up whenever I needed something that did not require brain power....... started with just several scrap pieces of quilts that I had left over from other projects...I started to stitch them together overlapping and adding different embroidery stitches..... then added some EPP that I had made and some yo yos.......some cute labels, felt hearts and a few other little things to add to the texture and charm.... it kept getting larger and larger and I didn't quite know what to do with it so I stopped and tried to... Before retreat and Glitter Market in May I finished another one of Noodle and Lou's big girl embroidery patterns........I think this one is a little more modernized Librarian with her pants on instead of a dress....I love her bun on top of her head with a big bow.....anyway I forgot to share this.........if any of you are interested in Jenn's big girl collection of patterns you can go to her website at Noodle and Lou to find all of her incredible patterns........have fun! We took mom to Chinese Food for lunch today for her 94 birthday......went back to her place........here she is sitting having and doing 3 of her favorite things....drinking coffee, having dessert and working a puzzle.........how bout that for 94.....she still drives, goes to the grocery store, does the cooking, plays cards a couple times a week with her friends , serves iced coffee on her driveway every saturday morning for all the neighbors......how bout that for 94!!!!! Probably my most favorite fruit of any is PEACHES...........summer brings these wonderful juicy balls of goodness and I look forward to them all winter.........for the past several years a local farmers co op gets a truck load of Georgia Peaches that you can pre order...........and they do not disappoint ............of course I jsut love to slice them up for breakfast every morning with my coffee.........but I think today I will bake something from this Peach Truck cookbook.........I will let you know how and what I do bake..... Thought I would share this new hair brain idea...........I bought this stencil collection from Leaca Young a while back and thought instead of the usual way of using a stencil on paper I would try to use on fabric and then embroider the image....so as you can see I transfered the image onto muslin with a Frixion pen........then colored with Copic markers .........on most of the hats I added felt and used some ribbon to the band or used beads to give it a little extra along with the addition of the heart necklaces trying to make each one a... For years now when I have done any punch needle I have always used the Ultra punch........and I still do but several months back I ran across the Smart Punch because it is easier on your wrist, hand and fingers if you have any kind of arthritis etc.......and to tell you the truth the result of the punch looks exactly the same it's just easier to hold so you aren't in any discomfort....I ordered mine from Notforgotten Farm......... I just finished my Noodle and Lou purse with a little Gucci addition...... As you can see I decided to line my purse...I love this Ruby Star fabric..........and a little polk a dot ribbon to hide the seam around the top.......with another addition of these cute Gucci girl patches......... even though it's extremely hot outside I want these summer days and weeks to slowwwwwwww down........I love summer and all it has to offer........friday and saturday to stay cool Mr. Tom and I went on a couple day trips just around here in Oklahoma hiting a few antique stores and enjoying eating out a few times at some really fun restaurants.....the Farmer's Daughter if you are ever in Tahlequah Oklahoma you need to stop.....everything is so fresh and delicious....and they have a delicious bakery to either have dessert their or take home something for later...... here are a few of... Do you remember charm bracelets? Back in the 60's and 70"s every girl had one and they were really popular........any time you would go on vacation or any special event or place you visited they always had these to sell........my best friend in high school gave me my first charm " Happy Birthday " with the date and her name on the back of the charm but I wore it so much it wore off.......that is what started this crammed packed silver bracelet.......... In January 2023 along with 10 other stitching friends we started the " Queenies" block of the month.....to say the least it was so much fun and the highlight of each month to receive your block in the mail from one of the other stitchers......we did not choose a theme but whatever you wanted to choose for your block.......if you don't know what all the BOM is it's where each month you have a designated person to be in charge of sending each of the other 10 a kit of everything you would need to stitch the 8x8 square..... you...
