Birch Forest at dusk
Yesterday afternoon: Yoga pants, cuppa, and stampin'. Experimentation>dissatisfaction>multiple attempts>multiple failures>eventual successes . . . Total yield? 4 out of 5 finished designs approved; #5 remains undecided . . . Not the most "productive" session ever, but not bad . . . Heck, ...

The GIANT Egg
Every now and then, one of the hens will lay a large egg. Sometimes the large eggs have two yolks in them, and they're called "double-yolkers". Yesterday, I found the mother of all eggs in the nest box. This is an egg of GIANT proportions! The shell was quite frail, and I was amazed that it wasn...

Winter Love
I had lots of fun this morning creating a winter card with a darling snowman couple in the Let it Snow set by Impression Obsession. I think they are so cute. I stamped the image with black craft ink and heat dried. I masked the snowmen and stamped the trees from Flaky Friends and Loads of Lo...

Just Chicken in...
I continue to experiment and practice with different brands of card stock and mediums. I encourage you to do the same. When you see a technique you like, you don't have to have the exact same brand name items to try it. I learned that tip from Asela. Now, that doesn't stop me from buying new...

Fabulous, tip!!!
I bought some YEARS ago, enjoyed using it, but never bought more because of the expense.
THANKS!!
Quick Tip: Make Your Own Wrinkle-Releaser, and Save Money, Too
There was a time I used clumsiness as an excuse for wrinkly clothes. "I'm not coordinated enough to iron," I'd explain, brandishing a 2"-long scar on my left forearm as proof. But thena friend at work pulled me aside and told me about wrinkle releasers. "They're made for people like you," s...
I just have one thing to say:
I am sure we are long lost cousins--because I am SURE your mom and my mom are twins separated at birth!! (Well--they use the same words!)
Dear Paperlicious: Commenting On Blogs
Dear Paperlicious: Why do people want comments on their blogs? What difference does it make? Are there any rules about making comments??? Signed, Totally Confident in My Abilities and Don't Need No Stinkin Comments to Make Me Feel Good Dear TCIMAADNNSCTMMFG: Well, dearie, I can't speak for the...
Well, Joan,
I am afraid not as many people have this conversation (like the one you had with your mom) as need to. My dh is a pastor--and he sees it far too often. Her life here is finite--always has been. Acknowledging this out loud does not shorten her life--just makes it more prescious.
As for the 20 bucks--I still owe you for the blood pressure/spirit uplifting laughs from the Dear Paperlicious column. We aren't close to even yet. Thankfully, if you ever decide to collect--I am pretty sure I can pay you off with ink, stamps, and paper. ;)
Hugs and Inky Blessings to you!
Mod Flowers/The Conversation
I wish I was amazing. I want to be this rock star stamper, but I have to settle for me. Whatever! I love this little flower from the Stampin Up set Always. The sentiment is an SU Rub On Love & Happiness. It will take me years to use these up! The white ones are great because stamping whi...
NOTE TO SELF: Never add up the complete cost for ANY project!! ;)
Anniversary Love
This card is a typical average stamper card. I used aproximately $400 worth of supplies to make it - stamp, paper, ink, punch, brads, nestabilities, wizard, Japanese screw punch, adhesive, scissors, brayer, ribbon, markers, paper cutter. I think that's it. Do you really want the details??...
COOL Project!!
Off to Timmies to get an Iced Capp!! Yummo!
Friday's Fast and Fabulous Projects: Cup Template and Travel Tissue holder
Last month I struggled with trying to make a template to cover miniature washtub. The project was featured on the cover of Stampin' Success, a magazine sent to all demonstrators, and the instructions did not include a template. So I had to figure it out myself. Now maybe everyone else ha...
Joan--You are scary funny!!!!
Thanks for the smile!!
Dear Paperlicious -- Top Organization Tips and A Major Announcement
Dear Paperlicious: I'm so messy! I hate cleaning my stamps, I lose the clear ones, I have paper scraps on top of my paper cutter and my glue gun is hiding under a pile of ribbons. I think my clutter is stifling my creativity. I'm pretty sure I'd be designing stamps for Papertreyink by now if I...
Happy Birthday! (I turn 39 in July--let me know how it goes ;) )

How thoughtful!! A bikini that you don't have to humiliate yourself to have. (wait--you don't have any 3-way mirrors anywhere, do you??)
Thanks a Latte and some CANDY!!
I FINALLY got the chance to sit down and play with my new A Muse Coffee Break set - it's a clear mini set and oh-so-cute. I decided to pull out some more of their new 4-Band Kitchen note cards (this time brown and red ones) and made a set of 6 thank you cards - I'm going to include them with t...
I really think you should get some burnt orange and avacado shag rugs and some harvest gold towels and go for the seventies look completely. Perhaps even a macremae (sp?) owl for the wall, too.
I am guessing that the little door was a stock closet door, and on sale when they installed it. ;)
So, I am thinkin' you don't got to the bathroom for stamping inspiration. :D
Bathroom Pics
I know I know!! I've been promising to post a picture of the bathroom in our new place for a while now - so here they are!! LOL that's the door to the bathroom - is it ODD or what?? It's WAY smaller than a normal sized door - I can figure out why it's narrower b/c of the way the hallway is set...
