Around 3 is usually when I had another baby, so when my youngest turned 3 was really hard for me. It is still hard when she crosses another milestone or bridge of life and I realize that we are DONE with that stage. Toddlerhood? Done. Learning to read? Done. Being allowed to go to the park with a friend or play outside for hours without my eyes upon her to keep her safe? Done, done, done. It's still difficult. SO difficult. I can't imagine it will ever be easy for me to realize that I am no longer the mom of little ones. Even though I identify as such in my heart, other new moms don't recognize it within me.

I am Sooooo late to this game! What was I doing on the 6th that I missed this whole craziness? Anyway. I love that you love Jenny. She rocks. But that's not why I am writing to you! Has anyone ever told you that you resemble the actor Tommy Kirk from the Disney movies of the 50's and 60's? I was watching Old Yeller at about 3 am (insomnia is even more awesome than The Bloggess, is it not?) and I thought of YOU because of Jenny's blog post with you collating paper and then I went to her site and she's talking about you AGAIN. It's like fate. That is all.
