Developing the Disciplines of Commitment – Day 2.
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Developing the Disciplines of Commitment – Day 2. Ok, so Day 1 ended so well and organized and I was stoked for Day 2. When I woke up on Day 2 I had to deal with being ill. I had not been feeling well the past couple of days but I take pride in being a trooper and really was able to power through the head cold or what I thought was just allergies at the time. Well this morning (Day 2) when I woke up I had full on body... Continue reading

Developing the Disciplines of Commitment – Day 1
Developing the Disciplines of Commitment – Day 1 Yesterday I posted what has since become my starting gun to the challenge I have set for myself. I am attacking and improving on some of my greatest weaknesses. In early stages of life I never really understood fully the benefit of mastering these skill sets that make up commitment. Day 1 is coming to an end and I have already benefited from this exercise! The greatest part is that I am enjoying every struggling moment of this challenge, I am having fun! Before I summarize Day 1 I want to quickly... Continue reading

Immobilized by Options - Developing the Discipline of Commitment
Some might say that one of the greatest, most beneficial by-products of a free market economy and capitalism is the availability of choice. In fact most of us would agree that choice drives competition which leads to innovation and advancement in design, technology, adaptability etc... With the nature of the exponential advancement in these areas we have more choices more frequently and that time lapse in between our options is diminishing exponentially as well. All of this leads me to a point where I must admit a weakness. I have never been able to keep-up enough to be able to... Continue reading

"The Big Switch" Review & Thoughts
Recommended Reading: “The Big Switch” by Nicholas Carr If you are a reader and someone who likes to ponder the future of technology, the internet and business I want to encourage you to read a copy of “The Big Switch” by Nicholas Carr. Carr explores the possibility of the internet as a utility and makes a convincing comparison to electricity. He takes the readers back in time to when electricity enabled the industrial revolution and then moves us forward back to where we are today – standing on the brink of another major cultural and societal change fueled by broadband... Need a ride from the Airport? You'd better use TripIt!
I started using TripIt to manage my travel itineraries about 6 months ago and could not be happier! It's awesome to be able quickly look up all the relevant information about my trip from my phone. It's neatly organized with helpful links for addresses (hotels), phone-numbers, flight numbers, and everything else you'd want to know. The best part is to make your itinerary you just forward you confirmation emails to [email protected] and they do the rest. Could not be easier. via blog.deaconbradley.com TripIt is one of those tools that I wish I had 6 years ago! When I look back... Continue reading

Identify Yourself..!
Define Me: My professional world up to this point has led me down that path that so many others have already traveled. I have let my job determine not only what I do for a paycheck but also who I am. When meeting someone new one of the first questions always asked is, “So, what do you do?” This is more than a question of conversation it shows that at the very least we subconsciously associate our way of paying the bills with who we are. I have recently begun to answer this ice breaker question with anything other than... Continue reading

The Future of Fitness; Rather the Virtualization of Fitness.
Nintendo has had it right for quite some time now. We can go back to the 1980’s to see how this vision of virtual fitness and the blending of fun with exercise began to emerge in the world of video games. Remember the “Power-pad”? The electronic mat that had sensors placed at certain spots, like giant buttons for you to step on! There was the Track & Field Game and that mat could be turned over to reveal a different set of sensors. Using the “B” side of that mat one could play the Dance Aerobics game that featured a... The American Christian - Intro:
Recently I have been thinking about how our nation / our society is interconnected with Christianity. Since September 11th, 2001 I believe that we have been trying to cope with the reality that we are not invincible or untouchable as a nation. Over the past 18 months we have really been dealing ...
