I miss the way you feel in my arms when you're all curled up like a little monkey on my lap. I miss the sweet soft sound of your voice, the prescious way you call me "Muma" brings tears to my eyes, as my hear aches to hear that sound again- so very much. I miss the way your baby fine, blonde hair tickles my nose when we cuddle. I miss the feel of your tiny little hand touching my cheek, as you fall asleep beside me. I miss your personality, and the vibrancy of your smile. I miss the... Continue reading

Because broken homes don't have to mean broken hearts... On March 15, 2006 an Angel came into my life. On March 7, 2014 my Xhusband took her away... An estimated $10k is needed to bring my little girl, who is now being withheld from me by my X husband, back home to the family that loves her. Police and Family and Children's Services are unable to assist us due to the loopholes in our current court order (where we have Joint Custody), and there's nothing I can do about it except fight the matter in court which is a lengthy... Every once in a lifetime you get the rare opportunity to be in the presence of true greatness of mind, and an icon falls from the sky to clarifies life and it's workings in a single hour of the day... As Seb and went down the elivator to go to school yesterday morning, I saw a piece of paper sticking out of his backpack so I pulled it out to see if it was something important or just junk. On the paper was a note about some home work and just the word, 'Dalai Lama' sribbled below. I asked Sebbi... Continue reading

Last night was an increadably amazing, terror infused Halloween Screem Fest at the "Power House of Terror" located in the old power plaint of the insane asylum, right here in Toronto. "The Power House, constructed in 1936, was built by the patients of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Centre. The Power House ceased operation in 1979 when the hospital closed. The Power House and surrounding buildings are listed as Toronto's most haunted." ~ Our evening of fear filled fun began as I picked Sebi up from his after school program, along with his new friend Ulysses, and the three of us... Yesterday was Thanksgiving and like most here in Canada I was spending my time with family, too busy to log on ande give my own perspective of the season. So here I am today with the many things I'm thankful for each and every day: - I'm thankful for my family, my 2 darling children, my parents, all of my extended family, and the few true friends I have in this world. - I'm thankful for our health. As some of the older in the fam become more fragile over time, I am thankful they are still here today and... Continue reading

It was the morning of Monday, October 4th 2010, and it started out like any other day. Little did I know that it would change the rest of our lives forever... We woke up, got ready for school and headed out the door to walk the 1/2 block to my son's elimentary school; when we noticed that we were surrounded by police cars and crime scene tape barricading the road. The news crews had just arrived, and people in the hospital grounds across the street were huddled on the grass looking into the park. Something had happened- something BAD! Sebbi... Continue reading

Oooo It's my Bday 2morow- I hope I win something *wink*
Holy Cow! What a very contradictory day I've had today. My math is so terrible that I scored a pathetic 2/10 & 3/10 on both my online math quizzes this morning, but my writing's so good that not only am I being looked at for exemption from my COMM (communications) class; they're actually looking at me to tutor other students in their writing. Wierd much? It's funny how the mind works. Our different styles of learning and information processing can lead us to such successes in some areas, while others seem to illude us so entirely, our class mates can... Continue reading

I can't exactly say "I went to the movies tonight," because that would be an overwhelming understatement. I just had the most truly heartfelt movie experience EVER @ the Toronto International Film Festival (tiff) down at the AMC, in Younge n' Dundas Square. Not only was the movie itself a dramatically true, and socially compelling story; but the screening was accompanied by the film’s director, producer, lead actress, another co star and the woman herself, who's story and life we'd just witnessed. All of them watching, crying, feeling, and experiencing all the same emotions we each felt along the films... Continue reading

All over the country children, and adults alike, are getting up and getting ready for their first day of school. It's a bitter/sweet time for families everywhere. After a long summer break it becomes evident that the kids really do need to get back to school. But as much as they they need it, and we need the break, we know that we'll miss the playful cries they made as they would terrorize the house and each other through those warm, fun filled, summer months. Today is Sebi's first day of school in a new school and city. It's Anna's... Continue reading

I've been to many of the high end apartments and condos here in Toronto. Every where from the trendy Young and Bloor area, to one of the Posh Palace Penthouses of King West; and as 'wonderful' as these places are, with their concierge and valet parking. Their fitness centers, conference halls, ballrooms, and recreation rooms. Their indoor pools, underground cities and subways. Their fine dinning restaurants, boutiques and in house salons. I wouldn't pay a penny for the view. Being slightly retracted from the downtown core, I honestly get to see everything across the GTA, minus the East side from... Continue reading

The move is just about over, and almost everything I own has been sold off or packed up and brought up to Toronto, one truck load at a time, over the past week and a bit, I have been so incredibly super busy, that I've not had much time to check my emails, let alone blog. With so much to do here in Toronto,I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if my blogging days were to come to a stand still in the very near future. But for the moment, at 5am, the city is still and I have a... Continue reading

Last night was our first night sleeing in the new apartment and it was wonderful to say the least! Anna and I had dinner out on the balcony and watched the boats on the lake, the helicopter tours flying below us and the planes coming in and out t=of out of the airport on Toronto Island. She could see all the rides being built for the CNE's grand opening and loved watching the cars along Lakeshore Blvd pass by lol Everyone in the building has dogs, and Anna was more than happy o talk to and pet each one she... For those of who read my blog, you may remember I recently made a post about an apartment I was looking into getting out on the lake. Well, after more than 2 weeks of doing financial back flips, and loads of invasive paper work, I finally decided enough was enough, and withdrew my application to look somewhere else. With only 2 weeks until September 1st, I had to act fast and pulled out all the stops. I pent hours driving around looking at for rent signs in the area. Poured over the internet at various listings and websites. I even... Continue reading

"There is a star, there must be one. Whatever you wish it will be done. And if you believe the star's always shining... There is a star!" ~ Pharao It's funny how life happens sometimes. One minute we're on cloud 9 and everything in the world is completely perfect, and full promise. The next we're falling swiftly down, and everything's crumbling apart right in front of our very eyes. You never know what's gonna happen next. Many times things can blind side you, right in the middle of your happiness. Your world falls apart, your lost and alone. Nothing makes... Continue reading

And Nothing Can Stop Us Now! Wow, so much has been going in our lives lately, I've barely had a moment to rest, let alone blog about it all. everything was on the edge of it's seat. Nothing was essentially decided, or final in any aspect- but now it is and I couldn't be more relieved! you may remember a few posts ago I had stated that I wasn't sure what gonna come next in my life, work or education? Well I set out looking for work and none came, so that prompted my looking in to furthering my education... Continue reading

Through the darkest valleys the phoenix treads, Her thoughts are filled with fearful dread. A shadow looming in the night, The bird begins it's path of flight. ~ A heart that's been both twisted and torn. The night begins her time to mourn. Even as she spreads her wings, A tear filled song her soul doth sing. ~ What once was dark, will soon be light, As she dredges through with all her might. Fighting demons deep inside She learns to spread her wings out wide. ~ Such fragile flesh, a pretty face. She ascends that fall from grace. From... Continue reading

I'll never forget, back in the summer of 2000, when a friend of mine said he had back stage passes to 'Marshall's Concert here in Toronto. I had no idea what, or more so who, he was talking about; but a girl beside me in the car was all, "Oh My God! Can I come too!" I laughed and shook my head. Why would anyone be so excited about a guy named 'Marshall' having a concert? Just the name Marshall made it sound like a German accordion ompa fest lol Everyone around me could see that I was less that... Continue reading

Ever since I started using my Facebook account again, I've been bombarded with 'friend invites' from guys from all over the world. Some I've never even heard of, and some I'd have rather left forgotten... But I really don't understand why these people think I would have them as 'friend' at all? What is a friend? A friend is someone who's touched your life in some way/shape/or form, that has left a positive impact on you. Yes some friendships certainly suffer from their ups and downs, but the majority of the relationship should have been a good one in order... Continue reading

Well after weeks of dabbling and struggling with the many possibilities of what to do next in my quite lil' life, I've finally made some head way in choosing a career path and a school. YEAH! I'm so excited! At first I thought I'd have to go back to high school to get my diploma so I could attend university. But in researching my chosen field, and prospective schools in my area, I've found that I don't actually have to do that at all. I can apply as a mature student, where they can forgive my lack of diploma &... Continue reading
