Yes, that is why I love Instagram. So easy to use on the go!

Home is where my journal still is
The other day I was searching my blog for a recipe I had not printed when I found some comments from my mom. My mom, who is dead. Luckily, they were not recent comments or I'd have been terrified! They were old comments, usually on the "what did you have for lunch?" posts. Oh man, she LOVED tho...
I think I began reading blogs in 2005! My blog is still alive, but barely. Every time I think of closing it down for good, I feel a little bit sad so it stays (even though I have turned into drafts almost all of my early entries, just so that I could save all the comments and interactions from those early years). I still like to read a hand-full of blogs, mostly craft blogs; there is just not enough time in the day to keep up anymore. But I do also like Instagram (I have mine in private mode with only about 70-80 contacts as I find it easier to keep up with everyone, both visiting and responding to comments) and Twitter/Flickr (although I rarely go there these days; again, lack of time, but I still like to check in once in a while). I feel the same way you do about Facebook. I love the way you describe it: "a live classified ads section that waits for you to post then attacks". So totally funny and true!

I agree, balance is needed always. And if it wasn't for the bad things, how on earth could we enjoy SO MUCH all the good? I enjoyed reading your lists and specially your epiphany in the end!
Dwell on the good: life lessons from my bad things list
I am combining days 6 and 7 of my bad things list because I got the message of this life lesson early on. This list has the bad thing followed by the immediate good thing I would normally tell myself. I do not let myself focus on the bad thing very long. I am always wanting a solution even if ...
And now I'm adding Vancouver to my bucket list! :)
Vancouver, Canada: Thoughts on our adventure
We survived our first adventure with the bionic knee and absolutely loved our time in Vancouver. We lucked out with mild temperatures and sunshine for the first couple days and enjoyed every second we could before the rain came. This is always what happens when we go to Seattle, too. We bring t...
My good things of the day:
1. Today I found a new coffee shop I love! And discovered that it is actually pretty close to where I work, so that means I'll be planning little escapes to it whenever I can ;)
2. And if that wasn't enough, I received in the mail my new tickets for the current Opera season! I am now eagerly anticipating the new group of Operas ahead which include two of my all-time favorite Operas and two I have never seen before! Pretty stoked.
Blowing in the wind- good things day 7
Today's good things: 1. My favorite soft tacos and rice for lunch. 2. Laundry on the clothesline. A year later, I still love using it. 3. I got all my errands done before it was too shvitzy and crowded everywhere. What are your good things today? Play along if you want to! -------- Shop:...

The amazing world of a four year old pirate
Life’s pretty good, and why wouldn’t it be? I’m a pirate, after all. - Johnny Depp. Well, Mr. Depp, you must be right. Life is pretty good. It would be even better for you if you were turning four and you looked this cute in a pirate costume!

It's a favorite quote kind of day.
