Giveaway: Get in Balance for the new year
Has school started again for you yet? It did here today and I was glad to wrest the office computer back from the teenager -- now to see if it can do anything besides run World of Warcraft ... While it was fun to have the husband and the teenager around the house, it was good to get back to my r...

fort kristine
Last year in August, to celebrate our 12th anniversary, Eric and I took a drive out to Long Beach, Astoria, and Fort Stevens. It was a nice drive, listening to a good book (Ready Player One by Earnest Cline, narrated beautifully by Wil Wheaton), some good time in the sand, and I did a little
JuriJuriJulie! I'm so glad we are getting healthy together :) btw, we ended up having a pretty interesting discussion on this on Facebook if you want to see more interesting ideas from my friends: here :)
mindful kristine is getting healthy
From giggly geeky crafty girl to giggly geeky mindful crafty girl, I am working on a transformation. Many of you know that I have had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for over 10 years. This has brought with it waves of sickness and health, some years better than others. This made bei...

bday 37 mix
For the last handful of years, I've been creating a special playlist to celebrate my birthday. Some of the tracks are things from my existing collection that I love, and others are a set of items that were just purchased.
Oh Wil, you made me cry! That was entirely heartwarming, and I'm so glad that you got the chance to say that out loud when with the cast. It also reconfirms for me that I MUST see you live next time you are in my area.
After twenty years, I finally got to say this.
A lot of incredible and wonderful things happened at the Calgary Expo this weekend, and when I'm not as exhausted I'll write about all of them. Until then, though, here is one of them that I really hope you'll spend 5 minutes watching: If you can't see the video, you can watch it right here a...
My niece is 8 and is a girlygirl and she would love the lace and hearts. This is really a pretty one!
Preview the Three Flavor Delight Cardigan pattern (and enter to win the PDF!)
Forgive my sense of humor. . . my DH's favorite dish at the local Chinese restaurant is called "Three Flavor Delight." I'm thinking it's a great name for this new upcoming pattern. As you can see, it fits all three of my girls! And I can't decide who it looks better on (being a fair Mommy at...

Braille's arrival: my Kenner dream, a long time coming.
If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Flickr, you most likely know that I recently reached a huge landmark in my dolly life: I bought my very first vintage 1972 Kenner Blythe. After years of collecting and waiting (all the way back to 2004!), my dream to own a Kenner has come true. I'm still ...
I have a set of stitch markers that look kinda like candy beads, and they are so nice... but i've lost a few and I need to get some more to replace them. these are so neato and whimsical, they would be a great choice! I'm also going to look at the next fiber festivals I go to for ones that really make me sing :)
Whimsical Stitch Markers - a review and giveaway!
Handmade stitch markers abound! But the whimsical and unique ones definitely stand out. Cheryl of http://cecreations.etsy.com sent me a great sampling of her work, including these ADORABLE and super charming M&M stitch markers! Thanks, Cheryl, for sending me these samples for review and to g...
I absolutely love this series.... the way you unveiled it slowly had me waiting excitedly for the whole story, the pictures (and model) were delightful, and it really seemed very apt for these plushies. You ROCK!
Apple Caveys & the monster.
I surprised myself today by being in the mood for another blog post. xD I'll be honest... It's a good feeling to have! I'm so happy with how the Apple Cavey photos turned out; they're giving me the perfect reason to be a little creative. I received my three Apple Caveys a few weeks ago. As soo...
What a sweet idea! My friend Brandy suggested I would enjoy this post :). I'm Kristine and I've stared my own business selling my handknit and handcrocheted items, as well as patterns.

I've really gained a lot from others in the crafting world, and I've gotten to take some fabulous online classes. This is a wonderful way to really increase my knowledge of my craft and being an online business woman :)
I love designing, I was in the world of web design before realizing I should combine my newfound love of knitting with my designery brain. It really fits well and I can't wait for my business to flourish.
Pay It Forward
When I was just starting out I was so blessed by many women that had gone before me and they gave me their knowledge so willingly and openly. When I would come across someone that didn't want to share information ( I am not talking about a trade secret ..just basic information) I promised myself...
