Julie, it was sooooo wonderful to see you on video - like sitting across from you as you talked about favorite books! I'm going to look for all 3 of your recommendations - can't believe I haven't read any of them. Thanks for this!
Two books about writing (and for writers - but also any creative person) that blow my mind every time I read them are: The Writing Life by Annie Dillard, and Zen in the Art of Writing, by Ray Bradbury.
Thoughts on Thursday: Three Books - Writing, Voice and The Desert
Quotes from Each Book (and why you should read each one) on today's Thoughts on Thursday Video It is time for Thoughts on Thursday! My friend Jen nudges me each Thursday to get at least one video a week up and out to the world. Today I’m talking books - three of my favorites - which I hop...
Jump
I'm ready to jump in! Well, it's a bit cold to jump into Lake Luxembourg (pictured above), plus you're not actually allowed to swim there, so I probably wouldn't jump in even if the temps were higher, but I'm ready... Continue reading

What's Right?

A Light in the Window
You know that feeling you get when, in the dark of winter, you ride by a home with a light in the window? It's a kind of tender, sweet/sad, feeling - and, for me, an antidote to the groundedlessness and... Continue reading
