Everyone have an awesome Easter? Good. Me too. I thought I'd ga-head and share a couple layouts I was able to put together recently. I'm not gonna go into all the products I used for them because I feel like in both of these I was testing out a lot of new things... I wanted to do a layered style "matting" around my photos with some fun combinations of patterned paper. On Tuesday, I had my first ever parent/teacher conference at the kid's school. Boy, if THAT didn't make me feel all grown up. Sheesh. Am I old enough to be doing this already? I'm picking it up again. The past few weeks. I'm trying to get better at pacing myself with work so that I have a little extra time to pickup my "happy place" hobby again. It's been nice, and therapeutic. On Sunday I whipped together a quick layout. I thought I'd share. Macho had his first ever sleepover on Friday night. Love this slice of life shot. On Wednesdays and Fridays, I hold on to motherhood with white knuckles. There will come a day too soon, that my babies will be in school all day every day during the week. And as much as that sounds "glorious" at times, it's also a mark of stepping into that next phase of parenting, and youth for them. A step I'm not always ready to take. While not obvious here online... I have been keeping up with my commitment to photograph FOR ME each week... A few posts ago... when I returned from my long holiday hiatus... I said there was a reason for my long absence. Well - this is it. I'm in Columbus for a few days. Visiting my girl, Casie. Having some good quality girlfriend time. My little boo-boo's are at my parents while I'm here. It's been great.
