Great imagery and wonderful that these families have two genuine souls to offer a hand of kindness :)
Brief visit to Sangharam Budh Vihar
This afternoon I take a walk down to the Sangharam Budh Vihar on the main Loni Road, not five minutes walk from LIG flats where Amida has been based for the last few years. I paid a visit a couple of days ago only to find that the Bhikkhu’s were away. Today they are present and I am shown upstai...
The amazing power of technology means that you have not seemed far away, although nothing beats you being here in person. You are not alone as all those who care about you hold you close in thier hearts and minds. xx
Christmas Day
A wonderful relaxed day writing emails and messages to loved ones - family and friends, and reflecting on all the remarkable relationships I have developed over this last year. Whilst in reality I have spent the whole day mostly alone my environment has been crowded with many of those people pre...
The photo is hear warming. So disconcerting that the west readily supplies the means to generate the rubbish but not the means to effectively dispose of or recycle it. Preparation for the weekly children's Buddhist classes will no doubt provide more focus. It seems incredible to hear of typhoid and wonderful that Suvidya is continuing on his recovery. Warm thoughts and wishes xx
Delhi Days 3, 4 and 5
Friday 16th December I am up earlier this morning. The sounds of the household are becoming familiar to me: the scrubbing noises as floors are cleaned, the swish of the grass brush, the clank of pots and metal buckets, of water pouring and the various tones of the different voices that inhabit t...

A long journey from one culture to another and perhaps a sensory overload initially. Sounds like an exiting new start if daunting in it's developmental stages. Your host seems such a generous spirit and I look forward to hearing more as the changes unfold. Good wishes to you all. xx
Return to Delhi Dec 2011
Wednesday 14th December First day in Delhi. I am writing this whilst sitting in a front room of Prakash’s house. As I begin to type I’m surprised by a mouse darting across the floor - a dark brown smudge registering on my retina. Prakash met me at Indira Gandhi International Airport about 8.30...
